Progress Report Week 38 / Change-log 0.11.8

First, like always.

Second.
I wanted to use this post to talk about the plans for the remainder of 2025 and the plans for A.N.R.

But after talking with my team, they convinced me that I should wait with that until I come back after my break.
To give everything some proper thought during my time off and get back with a clear head.
Instead of setting dates and putting unnecessary pressure on myself during my break.
To come back with a clear plan and roadmap that I think is doable.
And not create a roadmap filled with plans that I want to.

What I mean by that is, I want a lot of things.
I want to do so much, give you guys so much.
But I need to push aside the things I want and focus more on what is doable.

The only thing I want and can say about A.N.R, at this moment.
Is that I'm almost done with all the planned art for my first release.
With a little bit over 1.000 images.
1.000 images is smaller than the average Sweet Affection update, I know.

But the pacing in the new game will be a lot faster and quite frankly
it also takes me a lot more time to work on the art for A.N.R.
I would say that working 1 one image for A.N.R takes me about 5 times as long as working on an image for Sweet Affection.

My hardware is definitely holding me back as well and I need to figure out a plan for that during my time off as well.

So for A.N.R, I have mostly the writing left and coding.
And I have high hopes for a release, this year.
But it's not only about making a 0.1 version.

It's also about having a plan for after that, a roadmap.
Because once I release it, people will expect regular updates that I want to provide.
But that is something I need to figure out, to set up a proper plan.

So, no roadmap, no plan in this post.
I will save that for when I'm back from my holiday.

Sweet Affection Update 0.11.8

Now, let's talk a little bit about this month's Sweet Affection Update.
I'm happy to say that I finished all the work on the planned content.
Even though I ran into some issues yesterday.

A couple of the animations that I created were having some issues so I spend most of the day remaking them.

But nothing is holding us back now.
My coder will get started on it somewhere in the coming week while I'm on my holiday and my team will take care of the beta-testing for me.

I will still make all the builds and upload them as always.
And the release date for Tier 3+ will be on September 29th.
Release for Tier 2 will be on September 6th and September 13th for Tier 1.

Time Off

Starting tomorrow, I'll be (hopefully) enjoying my time off.
From September 20th till October 10th, I will not be working nor will I be present on this website or Discord.

Yes, I will be checking in once or twice a day in case there are problems.
But there will not be any previews or progress reports during that time.
The first progress report after today will be on Saturday October 11th.
Which is also the day where I'll get back to work and get started on the Sweet Affection 0.11.9 Update. (Which will be all about the special events at home.)

I do like to take a moment here and say thank you to everyone who has been supporting us.
Without you, we wouldn't be on this journey together.

Together we have created something wonderful with Sweet Affection.
A world full of love, happiness and laughter.
I am proud of what we have created together.
And I am proud to have such amazing fans.

And I hope that A.N.R will be even more amazing for all of us.
A journey that I can't wait to share with all of you.

For now, I am going to put an end to this post that ended up being pretty long anyway.
