Long-term, there are only a few possible ways this could go down (see below), and if you want to see the direction the story has 'begun' to take, then be sure to check out Chapter 31. However, I've said repeatedly that I'm open to changing things if you guys don't like the direction it's heading. The future of this story is not yet 'set in stone.'

Very interesting ideas. I'll definitely keep all this in mind when I get to that part of the story. I really like it when you guys help out with brainstorming how things could be handled, or coming up with thoughts of things that could happen. Because sometimes I do truly get stuck on a situation, or get stuck on ideas for the plot, and this kind of thing can give me that extra jump-start to get the ideas flowing.

2021-04-25 18:12:18 +0000 UTCSetting aside that its your story and do what you want. Fear seems like an approach you could use if you wanted to separate them. A 20 something having hot sex with a girl gets in over his head when he gets with a succubus. Now 50 and aging a mid life crisis and fear that the person they're with is no longer compatible and shares the same wants. At some point he will realize he will be dead 'soon' and his partner won't. Pride is a big factor in not wanting someone to take care of them as they become incapable of doing so. Plus you have at some point a divergence of life styles of someone old vs youth. The husband is also at the age mostly common for mid life crisis. Fear of supernatural and not wanting to get more involved with it. One thing to deal with a succubus its another to deal with an incubus and other creatures. If its the mothers first time dealing with more of her kind it could be like a Pandora's box to the husband. Lastly the thought that the husband has been under a succubus charm this whole time if you want to go darker. I.e the reason he's with her and ok with sleeping around is because her succubus powers made him ok. She could be doing it unwittingly and now after being with him she able to control her powers better and realizes what she's been doing.

In this poll, I tried to cover all possible options just to get an idea of what you guys, as a group, want to happen.

2021-02-16 18:19:49 +0000 UTCCan Rebecca give up all the other men that would be the change that would have to happen to join a Harem. I don't see her doing that so it defeats the whole story of Kai having his own Harem . That's just my opinion.
