WNY rehearsal - the earth teaches

Just a wee glimpse of rehearsal between classes while at the wild naya handpan academy this year. Oohhh my goodness what a beautiful week it was! To be living in community with my peers, role models, friends and students for a whole 7 days was such a blessing.

Here you can see me, Rosie and Lea prepping for a collaboration during my concert, while Haru waits on the bed behind for us to finish so he can give me a tattoo! I had no idea that Kerstin - holding the camera here - had snuck into the room haha.

I will remember this week for a long time. It was so so incredible.

I've said it before and I'll say it again - it's with thanks to my Patreon supporters that I am able to travel, to take time off earning at home and be at events like this. These events pay, but they don't always pay well. The handpan industry is still so new, and organisers are working out of their own pocket to make community spaces happen. It's a lot of risk for them!! We are all working hard to support each other but it would not be possible without people like you so thank you thank you thank you!!! 💚💚
