2024-08-04 19:33:53 +0000 UTCJust a quick thank you for y'all's unintentional disclaimer about Stranger Things! :) FYI I hate anything horror because my nightmares are vivid enough and don't need additional fuel. I only saw the first season of Stranger Things when it came out, and that was only after 2 of my best friends assured me that it wasn't scary (I told them I wasn't going to watch it because they used a horror font for the title). Needless to say, I did not enjoy the show at all. That said, I've considered watching y'all's reactions to the show to find out the rest of that story. I'm really glad the "scarab patch" on Mr. October's leg was mentioned in the intro of this video, and y'all hinted at how scary Mrs. October finds the show. Now I know I need to wait until I'm braver to "watch" the show with y'all. Thanks for the save!

I really didn't go into it with a lot in the way of expectations, but a lot like you, I really fell in love with the characters. You guys are in for one hell of a finish! Also, fun fact, "sarcophagus" literally translates to "flesh-eater." A rather fascinating way to describe a burial vessel.

2024-07-27 21:57:02 +0000 UTCSan Diego Comic Con (or SDCC, for short) is happening this weekend and Marvel traditionally has a presentation on Saturday night (tonight!!!!!) This is like Christmas Eve for Marvel fans. We get announcements on what Marvel Studios has planned for the next few years. I'm pumped!!!! MoonKnight season 2 has been rumoured but perhaps it will be confirmed tonight by Kevin Feige. Also a Midnight Sons movie has been rumored. (MoonKnight, Dr. Strange, Blade, Ghost Rider among others is on that supernatural team, so we shall see)

I saw that you announced FF after this one. Good job. Though you have a ways to go before Deadpool and Wolverine, I can't tell you anything except Daredevil (2003) and Blade (1997) are required viewing before that. You have plenty of time, but FF (2005) must be next before Dr. Strange.

2024-07-27 19:37:59 +0000 UTCMy sister first heard of May Calamawy through a Hulu show called Ramy. I haven’t seen it yet, but my sister said she got to do a lot more in Moon Knight by comparison. Director Mohamed Diab fought for her character Layla to be Egyptian. While the story takes place in Egypt, they weren’t able to film in actual Egypt due to political climate. So the desert scenes were actually filmed in the Kingdom of Jordan. Mohamed improvised bringing downtown Cairo into the show by replicating it in Budapest where they previously filmed Black Widow. The set they built was about four to five blocks wide. And finally, Anton Mogart/Midnight Man was portrayed by French actor Gaspard Ulliel. Unfortunately, he passed away back in January 2022 when he had an accident at a skiing resort in France. Moon Knight was one of his final projects released posthumously. The third episode is dedicated to him.
