Most of the criticism was the gender switch for taskmaster. I didn’t have a problem with it me being a comic book fan but I also don’t have a problem with why comic book fans would have a problem with it. I guess it was good for the story. But the jacket that Natasha sister gives her is the same jacket she has on in infinity war.

2024-04-19 21:20:11 +0000 UTCI really enjoy how once again the subject of free will is brought up with Dreykov and his control over the Black Widows. He is one of the worst, most vile villains in the MCU. A kidnapping, child mutilating, child murderer, so gross. Also how, in a way, Natasha had to fight versions/variants of herself, very on theme for this Saga 👍 I love how the MCU always finds ways to thematically connect the more grounded Earth stories to the cosmic and or dimensional parts of the universe/multiverse.

Dreykov's daughter, Sao Paulo, the hospital fire? Loki : Barton told me everything. Your ledger is dripping, it's GUSHING red, and you think saving a man no more virtuous than yourself will change anything? This is the basest sentimentality. This is a child at prayer... PATHETIC! You lie and kill in the service of liars and killers. You pretend to be separate, to have your own code. Something that makes up for the horrors. But they are a part of you, and they will never go away! One of my all time favorite scenes in the MCU and it is so awesome to see it brought full circle all these years later. We finally find out about Dreykov’s daughter and how that decision haunted Natasha for years. The Multiverse Saga where our heroes are forced to face the worst versions of themselves, in some cases quite literally. Good stuff!

2024-04-19 15:20:00 +0000 UTCThis is a top ten MCU movie for me, sometimes top 5 depending on my mood 😆 This is the only MCU movie that always makes me cry. The family dinner scene where Yelena says “the best part of my life was fake, and none of you told me…” always gets me. Florence Pugh is such a welcome addition to the MCU and I can’t wait to see what else she pops up in! I love that Mrs. O mentions how when the Multiversal War breaks out that we have meet an army of Widows that can come help. EXACTLY!!! 👍 We are in a new phase and saga, we got to build up those armies and alliances for when it’s an Endgame all hands on deck battle for our Universes’s survival! You guys get it!!! I am so hyped for you guys to get further into the Multiverse of Marvel!!! Loved this!!!

I was not surprised that you two like it a lot, again, I watch how you react while watching. You two really show your feelings quite well, so by the time you actually give a thumbs up, it is no surprise. And when you don't like something, like Tony's reaction to Dune Part 1, you don't hide your feelings, you are honest about it. Keep up the good work, because in many ways you two make re-watching these shows and movies much more enjoyable.

2024-04-18 15:44:48 +0000 UTCNot a spoiler mentioning Hawkeye after the end credit scene tees it up quite blatantly. Thanks for acknowledging my plug for DD, it is relevant to the future MCU, not to mention it is a very different kind of show. There is no CGI or spectacular battles, just a good story about a local hero trying to better his little part of the world. The Netflix MCU is definitely worth exploring, but season 1 of DD is the only one needed for now. I would return at some point to explore shows like Jessica Jones and Luke Cage, very different and more mature story lines.

2024-04-18 15:35:53 +0000 UTCI think most people would have agreed that this movie should have come out before Endgame. Minus the end credit scene. After watching this for the umpteenth time on my own and with reactors, I think this might the the second best phase 4 movie after Dr. Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. It's really grounded except for the over the top final fight scene. Of course this leads into Hawkeye (I don't think that's a spoiler at this point). Someone in the comments said that you need to watch Netflix's Daredevil season 1 before Hawkeye and I agree. Kinda like watching the Xmen movies before WandaVision. You will understand later. All in all, I liked this one better that most of the other phase 4 stuff, but I still think WandaVision, Loki, Hawkeye and MoonKnight were better than the Phase 4 movies, but that's just me. Glad you liked this one. I did too. Yelena, Red Guardian, Taskmaster, Bucky, U.S Agent (John Walker) and Ghost (from Ant-man and the Wasp) will all return in The Thunderbolts which is about to start filming soon!

She is one of the most famous and talented actors in recent years (is in Oppenheimer, Dune 2, Midsommar, and Don’t Worry Darling to name a few). She’s one of my faves so I’m flabbergasted that she would be mistaken for anyone else. I’m shocked they aren’t familiar with her. Yes, Mrs. October was correct about Natasha’s male friend…he’s the husband from A Handmaid’s Tale.

Winter soldier, The Walt-Mart version of Captain America The dude from the Marvel series with with Falcon and Winter soldier, "Ghost " from Ant -Man, The "Red Guardian" From the Black Widow movie also "Yelena Balova"Black Widows sis, and The "Task Master" and a few other characters im not aware of yet but that could be pretty cool.
