Game of Thrones Season 6 Episode 3 & 4

Comments

People only say the show's ending sucks because it didn't end the way those particular people wanted it to end. I however, believe the ending makes complete sense and that it ended exactly how it should have. Some people complain about the writing and you do notice that the writing is not AS good, but still I liked the ENTIRE show including the end.

TealSummers

It's not a cute lil house tho lol. It's absolutely ran down, guess she couldn't read the numbers for the lotto.

TealSummers

I'm from Ky, yes, we have "psychic" readers that live and do business in their houses. Matter of fact there is one just up the road from me. Funny thing is there is a christian church right beside the "psychic". I mean only like 3 feet distance lol.

TealSummers

Vaes dothrak is made of hay and wood.. the hay would light so quick

This is in my top 3 shows of all time. I avoided watching it for a long time because people said it falls off or the end sucks....and I totally missed out. When I finally did watch it, I was hooked and it only took me 4 days to binge it all. From this I've learned, my opinion is the only opinion that counts in what I like or don't like. We all see things differently and that's what makes life great! I can see both sides of the coin but I really love this show. I've watched your reactions since you started and it's because you are honest about what you think and feel. I've seen the show...I don't have to watch it again to know what happens. I watch for your reactions. So, just saying, do you. I'm here for it either way. (I think the majority of us are) Thanks for the reaction....always great to watch! (Also, I'm southern too....and we got all that stuff here in Tennessee!)

Jessica Houser

never heard of the church taking a member of the royal family hostage

Louie Anderson

If my GOT memory serves me right, Sansa and Jon’s reunion is the very first time those 2 actors shot a scene together. Btw a fun tidbit, the Starks siblings are really good friends outside of the show

Flexorcist

It is in step with what actually happened in the real world. Through out history the church had so much power, Pope’s deciding fate of monarchies.

Flexorcist

I just re-wiki’d the rest of the season because I couldn’t remember when certain episodes come along, and oh my are you in for a treat. Season 6 might be my favorite along with Season 4.

Jared M

The guy with the two swords is Ser Arthur Dayne - considered the greatest knight to have ever lived in Westeros. HE is probably why Jaime always wanted to fight Ned. Because how the hell did Ned beat ARTHUR DAYNE??? No one knew that Howland Reed had stabbed Arthur in the back and that's how Ned beat him. If you were Jaime, who, after Arthur and Ser Barristan, is objectively one of the best swordsmen, wouldn't you wonder how the hell Ned Stark killed Arthur "The Sword of the Morning" Dayne??? Jaime probably wanted to be best the man who beat the greatest knight who ever lived.

Crissi

please don't worry about skittles! i've seen reactors having pizza & wings, popcorn & getting loaded drinking.

mgamer327 .

Lmao I feel you. You’re good, u don’t have to apologize

Chaz D

bwahahaha yeah that went sideways

Mr. October

nope lol I still edit lol and sometimes that makes me out of this world lost. my bad.

Mr. October

That said, this is now more directed at Peter, have you read the books? Tbh it's imperative that one reads the books in order to have an accurate perspective on criticisms book related. Why? Because the criticism surrounds the many things that were not included in the books. I think I'll have to wait until they are finished to share specifically, but if you think the GoT tv series world is expansive, it is even more so in the ASOIAF novel series world. Which is exactly why I say book readers opinions are valid. It is after all adapted from books written 20+ years ago whose diehard fans were the readers for those years. GRRM himself departed from the show because they left out a key and prime character crucial in the books and their trajectory (many, actually). Readers mostly objected to how the writers chose to unfold GRRMs leads to his ending, despite the show already having much departed from the og material altogether long ago. I hope that makes sense, but most people who said the show was fine and/or they loved it and "hate" the "haters", literally do not even realize what the "haters" "hate", let alone legitimately why. It would be as simple as people reading the books to understand NOT "Dragon show bad", but that it so departs in such ways that now as GRRM says "the show is the show and the books are the books". It's not that the books won't necessarily end with what the show did, they just won't in the way the show did it, if that makes sense? There are characters missing that play significant parts of major scenes and plot points, characters dead in the show that aren't in the books, and won't die that way if they do at all, characters combined into one represented on the show that represent possibly two or more in the books with a separate or lesser plotline ... it goes on. I'll just say for example ... Jorah, Gendry, and Loras are all combos of two characters, with the other being much more significant to the entire story arc. There's literally just way too much to even tell you all the different details that will surely lead to outcomes at least coming to fruition with a marked difference. So again the debate isn't about whether the show is "good" or "bad", but "adequate enough to the source material", all along the way, which is a fine criticism imo, especially from readers. There is a reason the sub reddits are distinguished by GoT and ASoIAF. The two actually don't meet enough for conversation to crossover, which is fine. And the show criticism from show people only relates most explicitly to writing not entertainment value, but I can't get into those details till after for sure. And there is so much nuance to that, one might as well just watch a couple good vids made about it and move on. The rest of it is actual hate towards D2, with critiques on their writing as fully secondary to their own personalities and behaviors.

Lady Stoneheart (Uncat)

Elena, and that's entirely my point. No one hates the ending because others said they should or gave criticisms. In fact, no one "hates" it like that. It's more disappointment and with those things you even said, which people were most vocal about directly after waiting so long for the final season. A show is going to have it's moment of criticisms during and directly after it's run, so any that come up at all will be viral and forefront. Absolutely none of them were unwarranted and it only seemed more sensational because it was such a sensational show. See any hit show along the pasts' criticisms and see how those criticisms had their hay day in the sun. It's actually impossible not to form your own opinions (non influenced by the culture) on a show that is well made, but does warrant some criticism (as with any other), because as said, they are warranted because it just comes with the territory.

Lady Stoneheart (Uncat)

I haven't seen one in a while but I remember seeing Psychic Houses when I was a kid in the 80s usually in small towns in Arkansas

Dusty Hill

The predictions at the end though lmao wth 🤣

Chaz D

Doesn’t Ms. October do the editing? If so I assume she kinda gets to watch each episode a few times so idk how she always forgets so many things lol unless he started doin the editing on GOT, then that would make sense

Chaz D

“Maybe Jon wasn’t political enough” My biggest gripe with the show. Book Jon is so political he’s not even a great warrior just smart

Chris Button

You still have some of the series best episodes left to enjoy!

Josefin Jönsson

Mr. O’s brain is gonna explode in episode 5🤯

Pete Befi

also my understanding is the braziers were filled with oil fueling underneath the coal. may be true or may be head canon

hashpipe

I honestly think that those that hated the ending of this show was because it did not deliver what they hoped to see. Book lovers swear GRRM would do it differently, but until or unless he actually releases another book, who really knows? I think, from watching these two, that their feelings are pretty genuine, and honest. They know some people hate the end, but others do not, so I believe they will form their own opinion without outside influence, as they have all along. I have faith in these two, and watching them you will be able to tell what is genuine, they don't exactly hide their feelings when they see things. Their visceral reaction to Jon's 'death' is proof of that.

Peter K

Yes they are, love the consistency. I think at this pace they’ll might be done with this and season 1 of HOTD by time the 2nd season comes out in June.

Chaz D

Lol ok. I guess so

Chaz D

I was really scared of this when i first started watching this show, that by other people saying they hated it, that then i would to, hate it.. BUT i actually loved all of it ! would i change some things ? sure, but i didnt hate it.

Elena de Haan

Also I wouldn't actually continue to address certain comments and say "we don't see a problem, we love it", because if your opinion does ever change, people will just say you were influenced by "haters", when I know y'all are above that forming your own perspective. There are WAY too many reactors who start to hear general opinions about the progression of the show, followed by people telling you "not to be influenced by them", only for this exact debate in the comments to influence your confidence in your own opinions, which you then share, so if you do ever start to agree in any way with critical opinions, the "hater" naysayers say you're "just influenced by them", giving simple critical opinions more power than they actually have irl. Absolutely no one "hates" the shows ending "because they were influenced by haters". But that is the only real debate that comes about. It's interesting to consider how people feel, their opinions ofc, but please try not to inadvertently feed into the "hater" naysayers myth of the GoT "hate influencers".

Lady Stoneheart (Uncat)

I mean they can consider the opinions but by no means should they base theirs on them. There's no reason to make an excuse if they like it. No need to say "I don't see it" every time as if they're supposed to. They have to understand that they're watching in a different way than others did when it came out, certain things are more apparent for more nuanced reasons than just some overall things they "aren't getting". Especially when I don't know how many times I'll have to say that if they haven't read the books, saying they don't see the problems in the show (relative to the books) is then irrelevant. Of course they don't/won't. This doesn't mean they're less intelligent or something, it's just something they're not privy to, just as many other weren't.

Lady Stoneheart (Uncat)

I do think Tommen could have been a good king if he had a good advisor on his side, but instead he just has his mom scheming behind his back to keep from losing her last kid to a "harlot". I do love that Tyrion killed Tywin but I think Tommen really needed Tywin to help him along.

ShittyShittyGameGang

Yeah I had the same question about the fire when I first saw it. But upon rewatching with you, I now see Ser Friendzone and Dario did oil up the hut. That's what she meant by them helping her.

Adrian Rhodes

Please, please, please do not listen to the people that say the show falls off, it gets bad, blah blah blah. I have watched this show and reactions to it over 25 times now. And it is BY FAR and easily the best show I have ever seen. Please just watch it for yourselves and make your own opinions on it. Don't listen to the casual fans/haters of the show.

RP10

The end had me dying when I spaced off for like 30 secs with y'all talking fr then spacing back in to hear "wight Jon flaying wight Ramsey with dragon glass" 😂. But Jon is technically a fire wight now (like Beric). The White/Wight Walker army of the Dead are ice wights.

Lady Stoneheart (Uncat)

It was because she decided the theme of the episode was breaking oaths (starting with Sam and Gilly at the beginning) so it was like a silly thing lol

Lady Stoneheart (Uncat)

Yesss! This one is working on the app for me! :D

Hailey ✨

I'm so glad yall posted I'm having a ROUGH day and I needed a distraction

ShittyShittyGameGang

I live in bfe in the southern part of Missouri so I can relate to having like 15 dgs but no psychics

ShittyShittyGameGang

Final two episodes of 6 season are peak tv episodes 🔥👌

Monkey D. Tomy

you guys are great at getting these out!

Ali S.

I don't think the writing is bad on it, what I think is bad is Tommen as a King. Like you said if Tommen wanted to he could wipe out all the Sparrows with ease. But instead he lets them take over his city because he's a scared little boy. I think they are trying to show you throughout that Tommen doesn't look to have the ability to be a powerful King. He let barefooted robed men imprison his wife and mother and he did literally nothing about it. It's on him as the King

RP10

Yea I agree, that was a pretty cool moment when Jon walks off and says his watch has ended and it kinda hits us that he served his oath until death and he basically has a fresh start if he wants. I’m totally confused why Ms. October was screamin oathbreaker over and over and flexin at the tv in that moment tho lol he didn’t break his oath but that was funny to watch lol

Chaz D

Your point earlier in the season about why the sparrows had so much power was spot on and made me think. Tommen had command of the army and city watch, the high sparrow had a bunch of barefoot clowns in robes armed with meat tenderizers. At first when Cersei was granting him power it made sense but once they turned on her and basically made enemies of the entire royal family, it was really ridiculous that they could just lay down the law like that to the extent they did. There is more I can say but I dont want to spoil the end of the season, so I will revisit at the proper juncture.

Louie Anderson

I'm in a small town in NJ, right outside NYC, and in my town we have 2 houses with signs on them for 'psychic readings'. I never went to either of those but back in the 90's I went to 2 different very, very old ladies who were 'mediums'.. one lived in an apartment building in Union City and the other was up towards PA and worked in a chuch. Both were very strange and creepy and nothing they said came true. They weren't cheap $ either and came recommended! And this one time, my friend had a 'Medium Party', where had a medium come to her house and invited a bunch of friends over for readings. She took us in the bedroom 1x1 to give our readings. She was also wrong.

Lina Marshall

Hahah same reaction i had when John Snow left the Watch.

Hitmon

Psychics are Sickics (imo).

Jim Schmitz

Cersei's physic reader came true.... must be real

Hitmon

The speed of everything happening in the episode stays this fast all through season 6. One reason people love 6 so much! It’s fast paced but they still take time to tell the story. 7 & 8 went so overly fast paced that it upset a lot of people. There are only 7 episodes in 7 and 6 episodes in 8 which required a different method to wrap up the story. Loved the reaction! If you don’t know Vimeo is still not working. I had to watch it on the Patreon website. It wouldn’t play in the Patreon app using an iPad.

I❤️movies&tvshows

You guys are starting to see the ridiculousness of GOT in the later seasons. When Denarys tips the fires into sand and somehow that combusts the entire building. The show is very very watchable till the end but there’s lots that just doesn’t make sense.

Gnarlybudz

People who say season 6 fell off are the hardcore book people and I dont think even they believe their own words.

Brandon Tracy-Hurst

best story ever! thanks for sharing that lol

Mr. October

I like to see signs of them out of business. Like didn't you know? LOLOL

Annie Bonz

We gottem too In NC, psychic at home. I went one time with a friend and this crazy lady was cooking dinner for her family. And it was a scheduled appointment. She offered us food when it was over but the house smelled like she was cooking 6 year old dead horse ass or something. I was like naw, but thanks so much. Funny thing, she told my friend her husband was cheating on her with a red headed girl younger than him. Turned out true and it was her younger sister. It was months maybe even a year after when she found out.

Annie Bonz

Good thing, taco bell delivers late. I can sleep in the morning

Annie Bonz

Late night with Octobers in April. How fun!

Jim Schmitz

Yayyy, more episodes!! Appreciate the notes also about upcoming schedule

Nymeria Stark

I live in NJ, can think of several 'psychic houses' nearby. And I would not even consider paying them to BS me, they be con artists my friends.

Peter K

Yeah in East Tx we had those palm readers or whatever when I was younger but not any in my town anymore. And thanks guys...I really needed to go to bed but nnnooooooooo there is no way I can now 😄😄
