Game of Thrones Season 1 Episode 6 A Golden Crown!

If truth/ innocence is on your side . Gods will help grant u Victory/ Justice. Why Trial by Combat is an option.🏆

Victortor

The Dothraki reside in Vaes Dothrak. Their Ancestral grounds. but they do travel all over across the narrow see from time to time. They have never been in westeros tho

Ayanda Seshabela

Theon is a "ward" of the Starks. A ward is a child or young adult who is living with, and provided for by a family they don't belong to. The Starks have taken care of Theon since her was very young and have raised him alongside their own children. Theon is actually PRINCE Theon Greyjoy and technically the heir to the Iron Islands. But his dad rebelled against Robert. So Robert and Ned attacked them. Theon's dad was defeated and Theon was taken away as a kind of punishment. But the Starks are kind people - so they raised him as a son/ward, even though TECHNICALLY, he's a prisoner of war.

Jaime isn't allowed to have kids or a wife because he's in the King's Guard.

Crissi

Waited many days for this episode reaction. "Crown for a King!" :)

I echo lots of other folks - just like real life, most folks in the show aren't only good or only bad. You're being asked to practice radical empathy.

Crissi

YES!!! all of this. exactly.

Crissi

I think Robert is like the dog who caught the car - if your biggest motivator is "winning", what do you do with the thing you won? He even says "I thought being king meant I could do whatever I wanted" - he was in it for the sense of power and winning. That's why he's always talking about past battles, wants to compete in the tournament. That's why he doesn't attend the small council meetings. He's a conqueror, not a ruler.

Crissi

The death of Lyana Stark broke his heart and being married to Cersei afterward didn’t help. 😬 But Robert was a great warrior when he was in his prime.

Sivan

Yeah, Viserys was a first class douchebag. The Targaryens themselves aren’t literally dragons, but they’re the only dragon-riding House that survived the Doom of Valyria (back when there were living dragons).

Sivan

it was a good one because that guy seemed slightly delusional. and also they took the dragons can’t burn thing so literal! so that was a big thing

Mr. October

With King Robert out hunting, Bronn & Tyrion departing the Erie/Vale, Beric Dondarrion on the hunt for The Mountain, Dany & Khal Drogo across the Narrow Sea, Ned trying to manage the Iron Throne, and lastly Theon and Rob deciding what to do, there plenty going on here! Do your level best to keep these character arcs in mind … there’s plenty of moving parts that will be playing into each other. One last note to avoid confusion (as if there isn’t enough already going on!) … the next time you see Beric Dondarrion, he is portrayed by a different actor later on. It’s awesome seeing you all becoming more invested in the series. Enjoy the rollercoaster! : )

Karl

I love your guys reactions

Miguel Lugo

Last one, the intro won’t change when episodes are full of dialogue, but any major battle/event be sure to keep your eye peeled 👌🏽😂

Side note, each season has about an hour long video

Steven Mongold

I think you guys would really like the history & lore for each season! Maybe you could do a reaction video to each lore per season? It could also help you get a grasp on all the different details you are trying so hard not to miss!

Steven Mongold

Theon Greyjoy is a ward. Basically the houses trade young men for different reasons but in this case the Greyjoys had a rebellion that Ned Stark and others put down. To keep the peace, Ned took the Greyjoy's last surviving son and heir to live at his castle and raise with his boys. It's a threat against future rebellions because the last Greyjoy son would be the first to die. Similar things have been done IRL historically.

Sir_Dalagad

Jaime is part of the King's Guard who guard the royal family and wear armor that has a crown on the front and a helm that has three large, rounded fins at the top. The King's Guard have no wives and hold no titles or inheritance much like the Knight's Watch at the wall.

Sir_Dalagad

I understand I think my biggest issue with him is just how uninterested he seems in a lot of ways. Maybe the fatigue of this corrupt world got to him, but he just seems way too involved in drinking and not ruling.

Mr. October

We are doing the best we can we moved, hoping that we can be more productive in this new house

Mr. October

Tomorrow we are watching it! 😊

Mr. October

Like another comment said, don’t get too caught up in who fits in a box of good or bad. Everyone’s got pros and cons, shades of grey etc. Robert was once a noble soldier who overthrew an evil king, but he’s just not as a good of leader in politics as he was in war. Ned is an honorable man but that’s not always the smartest thing to be in a world of plots and politics. Jaime is a dick but he genuinely cared for his brother which is why he made such a rash move. Even the queen Cersei is understandably bitter about being forced into a 17 marriage with a husband who regularly cheats on her and disregards her.

MacJordanT

King Robert is one of my favorite characters in the story, He's not a good king but he's a very normal person, especially for a king living and dealing with the politics of Kings Landing which he hates. when you get through the show read about Robert's rebellion which is what took place before the show with Robert and Ned over throwing the Targaryen reign. He was an absolute badass

Christian

The 7 kingdoms are: The North, The Isles & Rivers, Mountain & Vale, The Rock, Storm Kingdom, The Reach, and Dorne. Just sayin'... and a good time today again, Brony.

Jim Schmitz

Mr October said he’s not sure if he’s supposed to like King Robert, but I’d say that most of the characters in the GoT world are morally gray. It’s okay to like King Robert even though he’s not a good king. He has good qualities and bad ones.

Sivan

But, Jack, Asia's getting "antsy"...

Jim Schmitz

Actually it's "Heavy is the head...", but big difference, eh?

Jim Schmitz

you would benefit BIG TIME from printing off or looking at a GoT map online. So much traveling on foot, seeing the distances etc of where everyone is will give the show such a better feel. The map is included in the inside cover of the books, I can't imagine having read those without being able to reference the map.

Aliir

are we just going to bang out GOT episodes almost every day? this would be a damn DREAM come true.

Aliir

Back on that grind I see! 💪 😤. Cannot wait for far from home, no rush of course 😁

Jack Ross

When you gonna upload Spiderman far from home 🏠? I'm getting antsy about it

asia roberson

Heavy is the crown 😂😂

chaddytwiceover

just sat down at the computer, perfect timing

Echoes Of Malachor

One of the most satisfying deaths I’ve ever seen on TV
