Hi Patrons! Here is the weekly bonus #26 about the future episode 12 "Autumn Clearout". I finished the penciling step last week, and I'm right now coloring it and preparing the episode for translators. Today was a sunny day and I took photos of the pencil artworks and grouped them into the big image in attachment ( I masked panels here and there to avoid spoilers ) . Why photos instead of scan ? Because this time I made something crazy, something that took me twice the time, but something I'm proud : I worked with in mind "no digital retouch for the characters" ( backgrounds will be painted on computer ). So, I was forced to redo all pencil artworks again and again to fix expressions or symmetries/proportions issue. This highest level of discipline forced me to work on my core skill, and I learnt a lot. It also influenced my line-art style to be more clean, and effective. I noted the best tip I found on a notebook to feed my next tutorials. I'll work on it probably after episode 12 release.
Pitch of episode 12 : Cayenne , one of the three old witches of Chaosah, tries to educate Pepper to be a better witch of Chaosah. The problem starts when she decides to clean Pepper's home...
Fruits of the big maintenance of october :
On october, as I mentioned on the last weekly , I made my own big cleaning and maintenance of all Pepper&Carrot files. The cleaning is now over, and the new clean base will allow development of many new features, here are two of them :
- The HD button : displaying page in 2400p , thanks the contribution of Sölve Svartskogen.
- The install script (possible now to clone all Pepper&Carrot sources and tools with a single script on Linux, and get renderfarm and sources ready to work. )
Other news from the blog :
- Two fan-fictions ( CC-By ) to read (or to draw) from Juan José Segura: The Storm and The Golem
- A 3D model of the big fish of Episode special to see in browser here from Nahuel Belich.
- The adaptation of Pepper&Carrot to the new comic file format ACBF by Robo Pastierovic
- And the Pepper&Carrot puzzle Christopher made for his daughter.
I also thanks a lot all new supporters coming from the Imgur community this week. I started yesterday to reply to the comments on the main Imgur gallery of Pepper&Carrot. I'll keep an eyes on it, but I'll be busy now by finishing episode 12. Thanks to all my patrons for your continuing support!
