Linux Lite takes the cake for the most underwhelming Linux distro release I've ever used. Maybe not the most underwhelming distro every, but definitely for a new release.
I had pretty low expectations because Linux Lite 4.x was kind of lame despite being drummed up by certain Linux personalities (such as Quidsup) who get paid for reviews.
I think Linux Lite is a good example of why people shouldn't buy into some Linux distros' hype. Projects like Ubuntu, Fedora, Arch, etc have earned their reputation. Linux Lite and distros like it haven't, and this release shows that in a big way.
I talked about the News Segment I wanted to have on the show. I asked my good friend Ken (from the Egasts Podcasts), but something came up over the weekend, so he had to bail. We'll try again next week.
If people enjoy the news segment, I think I will add it to the install segment to riff about news while the installer is doing its thing.
And if it takes off, I'd love to have different guests on the show doing the news segment and maybe even take some questions from viewers in voice, kind of like a radio show.
Lots of fun plans for the stream; I got a vision!
