Charon
Added 2020-04-10 16:55:37 +0000 UTCI recently watched Chris Hong's videos about her new Polychromos and felt inspired to use my own again as well, and maybe try some of the fun stuff Chris does with colours & layering! My go-to character for anything experimental and sketchy is still Charon, some of you will remember him I'm sure :3c
My selection of polychromos is very limited, I've been meaning to buy the whole set for years now but I keep putting it off because I feel like I don't do traditional art enough to justify spending so much money on the whole box, haha. But life is short, maybe I'll just do it LOL
Coloured pencils were the first medium I seriously worked with for many years and they're still one of my favourites 💙
I definitely used too many colours for this sketch, some parts ended up looking a bit too muddy but I'm still quite happy and really enjoyed drawing it, it was just what I needed :') I really wanna make more trad art againnnnnnnn, if only I didn't have to rearrange my desk for 25 years in order to do so, hahah.

I was distracted by that cute doggie over there. XD But YES CHARON! I love his design (and his looooooooong hair). That pink is bright but it fits so well with the whole piece. I hope you will be able to keep doing some pieces like that if you have the space. :D (I am myself lacking the space to art properly at the moment so I can totally understand you on that point.)
