Since we know that everyone has a chance of influencing the Sorting Hat's decision, I liked the idea of Kai practically begging it to put him into Ravenclaw! Ravenclaw fits his nature anyway, so there's a high chance he'd been sorted into that house anyway, but he had to make sure, hehe. I also think Slytherin would have been a neat fit, but I really wanted them to be in the same house.
Also, in this AU they're only one year apart instead of two, I want them to spend as many years as possible together at Hogwarts!! > w<)
