OC meme - favourite OC

i'm doing this OC meme on twitter but for some questions there's not enough room to talk about them properly, so i'll put some of them here!

i don't have One favourite OC, it's a tie between these two.

charon has been a big part of my artistic journey for like 10 years, i started drawing a comic about him multiple times, kept changing the story and in the end i never actually made something out of it. he is, as his name suggests, the ferryman, more specifically he is a ferryman in training to replace the current one (those who are "destined" to become the next ferryman are always given the name charon in my story). as part of his training, in order for him to learn how to gently help souls cross the river to the afterlife, he gets sent to the human realm to learn how humans deal with life and death, since where he comes from, they have no concept of these things. charon's people kinda just exist, then they vanish, time is not something that's paid attention to like humans do. it's hard to explain. anyway, problems arise and he starts questioning his calling when he falls in love with a human.

misha is the son of a rather wealthy and well-known family, and ever since he was small, he felt rather lonely. his older brother was busy with his studies, his parents busy with work and because his health has always been poor, he wasn't allowed to go outside very often, thus he never really made any friends. the older he gets, the more he feels trapped by his status, his worried parents, his weak body and wants nothing more than to break out of everything. this feeling is shared by his only childhood friend ayden, who he met in the woods next to his parents' estate. they first met when they were both very young and ayden suddenly appeared at an old treehouse in the woods when misha had snuck out one day. they become close quickly, only meet a couple of times every few years when ayden is in the area (he's being raised by sky pirates, in a very harsh, sometimes abusive environment) and they promise each other that, one day, they'll leave their homes together to start a new and free life together. which will prove to be incredibly difficult, because life keeps throwing rocks at both of them.

T -T i love my sons. i mentioned it before but i really want to start telling misha and ayden's story this year. i've been writing it for a while now, i think i'm ready soon. but i'm not quite there yet, also because i don't have the time right now. not until i have some sort of regular income again, that allows me to work on one more personal project.
