YAYYYYYY Bus!

Do you mean not a bad idea or is it bad to have screws in the back?

Evan Hartmann

I mean your not going to see the back of the panel you could probably leave the heads there

Evan Hartmann

That's just more to grind off on the back of the panel, but that's a bad idea

Aging Wheels

I'm not worrying about that right now. While I haven't fully decided what to do with the back end, I mostly sure the sides won't be there at all. If I do reuse the panels I took off, I'll have to fill in all the stray screw holes

Aging Wheels

That's a just the kid's kite all bundled up

Aging Wheels

Sorry for the many comments but could you put the screws in partly in the back of the panels and weld the front of the panels so you don’t need to use the bits of hole punched metal you just weld the tip of the screw?

Evan Hartmann

Also are you going to put the body panels back on on the back of the bus? Because even though they are going to need to be cut down are they going to have spots where the rub bars were? Or were those panels recycled and needing new ones.

Evan Hartmann

What is the purple stuff on the wheego?

Evan Hartmann

Awesome work on the bus. There has been a lot of progress. Lots and lots of holes filled in. :) Hope you and the family are doing well and staying healthy.

On the inside of the bus, check out LizardSkin. It's a coating used to protect metal, deaden sound and provide some insulation.

I'm looking really forward to seeing that separator! I've 3D printed one, and it worked OK until the bucket fell over and it shattered (was printed in PLA). I'm building a vac cart like yours and want an efficient dust separation system that isn't 3D printed LOL

ROFLMAO

I enjoy the “body work” I’ve been doing better. I bought a very cheap pop up camper and am fixing it up to be used again. (As well as modifying it to make it nicer like a newer wiffle tree they won’t fall down if I let go and attaching a drill to the front so I don’t have to crank it up manually) The guy who had it originally I guess was very bad at backing up a trailer because all of the rear plastic (and drivers side metal which is as wavy as the ocean) was very broken and missing pieces. And it’s probably not easy to find body panels for an 83 Coleman pop up so I found one piece that was for the real tail light and used gorilla tape to patch all the many holes where water has been leaking directly onto the wires for years and then I added decorative tape on top of it “hide” all the seams I made. It doesn’t look good but probably better then holes.

Evan Hartmann

Well they didn't sponsor you. It just feels like everything in your garage was Ryobi.

Wayne Moyer

Are you going to ever put a mini split in the bus dungeon? Or are you going to do that when you put one on the bus to you might be able to get a sponsorship from pioneer?

Evan Hartmann

Psh. That'd be like telling Toyota I bought a Bentley

Aging Wheels

I'll be interested to see the pros and cons too. I'm mainly making it just to see if it'll work. It also sounds like a fun challenge

Aging Wheels

Thanks for the update video Robert. Curious about the dust separator. I recently added a harbor freight cheapo 4" dust collection system to my "shop" and have been scouring craigslist/offerup/whatever to find a 55 gallon drum to stick a couple of bits of pipe in to do the trick for me, but this thing you're building sounds interesting as an alternative. I'd love to hear the pros and cons.

Did you tell Ryobi about the purchase of a non-Ryobi item?
