Can the Wheego Pass a Safety Inspection?

The Wheego had some things to fix before it would pass its first ever safety inspection. Did I fix them? Yes. Yes I did.

As a side note, this was the highest effort low effort vlog I've done yet. You'll notice, however, that I didn't bother retaking lines. I just left in all of my speech stumbles for your enjoyment. This probably could've been a mini project video on its own, but I didn't know how much work I was going to do before starting. The amount of work I put into the car also means this is the only video you get this week. This was supposed to be a quickie second video for the week, but things got out of hand real quick like.

I feel your pain on the $75 sticker. In Georgia we get charged $200/year (indexed annually for inflation!) for the privilege of not polluting the atmosphere. I voided the issue by trading my Nissan Leaf for a Ford CMax plug in. I drive about 90% of the time on ev power with my 16 mile commute.

I'm in California and vehicle safety inspections is not a thing here. It's common to see cars literally held together with tape, four bald-till-they're-smooth ties, and/or plastic bags for windows. Speaking of gas and car taxes, California has been wanting for several years to charge tax based on the number of miles actually driven using GPS trackers. This would also be on top of our already high gas taxes and annual car taxes.
