Poll: about old HS Tutor scenes

Hey guys!

I'm currently working on Honeymoon Island. However, I'd like to know what you think about the old HS Tutor scenes.

As I said in another post, while testing the game before the latest update, I noticed that the quality of many of the old scenes was quite poor. I started to wonder if it was worth going back and fixing them. I'm more inclined to leave them as they are and just add new content to the game until I finish it, but I'd like to know what you think.

The poll won't necessarily determine what I do, I just want to get a better idea of what you think, so just vote for what you think best reflects your opinion without worrying about the final result:

I honestly think the quality of older scenes isn't bad. At least the differences aren't as visible as for some older Solvalley scenes. Might be because of the different graphic styles. Since there's still quite a bit to do (including the endings), I'd say it's best to leave it as it is. Otherwise you'll never find the time to start your next project.

Let's say re-doing a scene makes it 10% better, and takes half as long as creating a new scene. Assuming that the original scene was not so awful it turns off players, then that is clearly not an "efficient" use of time from the point of view of the player. So as a player I am naturally inclined to prefer creating new content, because that gives me more enjoyment for my time and money than re-rending the same scenes. HOWEVER, what matters the most here isn't how the scene's quality affects me, it is how it affects YOU. If you do not like your own game because your older work is not as good as your newer work, and you will be a lot happier if you do it, then do it. But accept that (a) you are doing this for your own sake, not the players, and (b) your work will always be improving, and you will feel the same way about this new render a few years from now when you have better skills/hardware/tools. If you are doing this as a labor of love because you want to create something great, then go back and make it right. If you are doing this as a job to provide entertainment to fans in return for money, then learn to let go and focus on new content. (You can still go back and re-render stuff, but you'd have to think of it as something you're doing on your "own time" for fun, and it should not take away from new content generation.) So really, it comes down to how you view yourself and this Patreon. Is this a hobby or a job? Is your goal self-fulfillment or providing a service to customers? Either one is a perfectly fine answer, but figure it out and then you can answer your question yourself.
