Patreon only version - The Unholy War

Hallo, you gorgeous lot.

Here is the pre-release draft of my next video. It does not have all the backing music or the transitions I'm intending, but I find that going away for a couple days then coming back to something helps me really iron out flaws in a video. The credits reel isn't in this one, but WILL be in the final version. I have no idea why, but when I try to import the list of credits of you lot into the video editor, it crashes consistently. So I just got mardy and thought well, I'll put this first version live and the public version can have all the other gubbins.

And the fact of the matter is, you lot haven't had very much from me of late so I want you to see this now because it is more or less done.

I really hope you enjoy it!

So Cutie Honey there (the one fighting the tornado), she's from a very adult franchise. In fact a lot of the anime adaptations border on hentai at times. It was kind of funny to here you describe her as an innocent girl. As for why Toy's for Bob didn't get a franchise like Gundam, probably because at the time, Bandai was struggling to keep interest in the Gundam franchise. It nearly failed if it weren't for G-Gundam.

I had Archon and Archon II on the Speccy. Good fun!

Unholy Wars is one of my favourite games ever, it's fun and pure chaos :D

And I laughed a LOT when you said that poor Squishes hasn't spoken to you since you changed meds ;-)

Love the vid Sarah. Good to see you playing something you enjoy for a change ;-) That game actually reminds me a little of an old game back in the spectrum days called Archon: The Light and the Dark. Great game that I loved way back then. I had many, many happy hours spent playing that against my friends when we were kids, and I had the follow up as well, Archon Adept, which had a very different overworld game map than the chess board style. Another great game :-) They went on to make Archon Ultra for the PC back in 1994, which brought the graphics and sound up to date. There is a much more recent version of this game called Archon Classic which has been released on Steam, which is still good fun as well, although it's not being made by the same people, another company has bought the rights to Archon, called React Games. One of the people from the team of three that created the Archon games, Paul Reiche III, actually went on to team up with Fred Ford and made the Star Control games, and then went on to form Toys for Bob! ;-) How interesting! If you haven't taken a look at the Archon games, maybe you should, you might like them. :-) Thank you for this vid, I'd never have found this out without your video spurring me on to mention this to you! https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Free_Fall_Associates#Free_Fall_Games Archon: The Light and the Dark (1983) - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Archon:_The_Light_and_the_Dark Archon II: Adept (1984) - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Archon_II:_Adept Archon Ultra (1994) - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Archon_Ultra Archon Classic (2010) - https://store.steampowered.com/app/65400/Archon_Classic/ So Where's The License For Archon Now? - https://kotaku.com/so-wheres-the-license-for-archon-now-5120746 Archon: The Light and the Dark can be played for free in the browser at the Internet Archive https://archive.org/details/msdos_Archon_1984

I had the demo. I remember something going "Yeah, baby, yeah!" a lot, and always losing.

Good stuff, thanks for the preview!

Me and my house mate absolutely hammered this game. Is still in the garage I think.

Most amusing, much chuckleage!!

I'll take your word for it. The ones in York and Leeds were more than fragrant XD

Oh I must object! The game station I worked in did not smell! We cleaned that place to insane levels. Went to shit in 2004 after me and the manager left but hey ...
