The reason why Taeyeon is not belting or what you mean, not going somewhere, it because Ending Credits is about the bittersweet acceptance of the end of a relationship. The whole album is like telling you how Taeyeon get through a toxic relationship. At first she denied the reality and wanted to get back to the relationship (Set Myself on Fire) She wanted to go back to her childhood where there’s only happy endings (Toddler) She doesn’t wanna get hurt again (No Love Again) and then she finally accepted the reality and wish her partner happy in their own place (Ending Credits) And Ending Credits is like a mature version of Curtain Call, it has a same effect. If this song is the last song of a concert, oh I’m gonna cry so hard man. The whole album is magnificent, her voice, the lyrics, everything. Love it. Hope those songs will grow on you Dylan.
