So I guess I am on a roll!
Pantheacon is coming up, the Pagan convention we do every year in San Jose, and this is its last year (NOOOOO!!!) I wanted to do another Egyptian piece, and Hathor was my natural choice. She is the daughter of Ra, and was considered a primeval goddess from whom all others were derived. Sekhmet is her form of rage, and she was later associated with the goddess Isis. She is the goddess of rebirth, motherhood, women's health, light, inspiration, kindness, gratitude, love, dance, drunkeness, sexuality, and inspiration. I am very excited to be doing her at last!
This is the sketching phase, where I am working out where everything goes, and what is going to be included. There is SO much symbology associated with Hathor I have to pick and choose what I want to include. I should have the drawing done tonight or tomorrow :)
