The Gravelording video is in its final stretch! I'll likely have it ready Saturday, but Sunday is a really solid and very conservative estimate if there's a minor delay for any reason.

I updated my video editing software, I'd been using Wondershare Filmora and didn't even realize I was a few updates behind. They very recently had a debacle where previous "lifetime" license holders weren't going to be entitled to the latest version, but there was massive backlash online (rightfully so), and they've walked that back. So now I've grabbed that and holy cow is it so much better than what I was working with. A lot of little issues that made the production process more troublesome have been solved, and videos also render way faster now too.

I assumed this whole time that rendering videos in 4K 60 FPS would inherently be a sort of intense process, like why wouldn't it be? But without proper a frame of reference I didn't realize that my computer just wasn't being tapped correctly for that. I don't have the exact stats but it now seems to render at somewhere close to realtime of what the video playback would be, to taking up to 50% extra what the video length would be. This is just so much better than it was for me, which was NOWHERE close to that. If an hour video takes a little over an hour to render now, I'm extremely happy with that.

The end result to the viewer isn't going to be very different at all, but I'm certainly relieved.
