Episode 2 Update

First of all my sincere apologies for the wait for any follow-up posts. There were some troubles on my end, which were followed by a vacation planned before Samantha asked me. This by no means should excuse the tardiness.. But, I didn't want to needlessly post things to here just to keep you updated about *my* end. 

Like I said in the previous post; The focus will be on the game and it's community.  Secondly, I'm back now so updates should flow a lot quicker. This post will primarily be about the back-end developments while the front-end (primarily writing of new scenes) is still somewhat quiet.  

Of these back-end things, first a note about the game art. Which by it's nature is a very slow process, as artists can't dedicate all their time to a single commissioner unless they pay exceedingly well. That said, we have found an artist who's willing to produce a number of images *every* month, the number of which is dependent on the Patreon income for that month. So, while it'll take a long time, it is all but guaranteed to keep adding up to the full gallery, and the more successful the Patreon, the more images that be commissioned per month. 

The second thing, towards which $100/month goes, is a full disassembly and rebuild of the code base. Samantha has taken an acquaintance in arm who is helping her optimize and condense the code for a smaller filesize *and* a faster runtime. This is nearing completion, though having gone through it all with the intention of creating a modular and reuseable system that will save time and effort in the long run and future projects; That unfortunately means it's been a lot of work and isn't *quite* ready for use yet.  

Thirdly and finally, as part of the restructuring of all the code, there is now a well-labelled spreadsheet for easier spell-checking - and more importantly - easier translating of scene texts, should it become popular enough to warrant that. There are still some decisions to be made on the back end on how to handle [tags] in the scene texts, so it's not quite ready for public involvement yet, but once [tags] are figured out we'd love to invite people to help spellchecking, and/or translating texts to their local language should anyone wish to do so.  

While this post isn't much admittedly, this is what has been going on in the back-end.. So things haven't been *entirely* dead in the water, and we're hoping to pick up steam again once the aforementioned things are rounded off and incorporated.
