Pages 31-32

Aaaaand here we go!! Page 31 might be one of my favorite layouts i've done in I don't know how long, which is great because this exact page is something I've been trying to form for like a year now. Unfortunately I had to cut the fight down from the cinematic masterpiece I'd imagined- originally I wanted Dakota to throw his dirty underpants at Harmony and call her names, but it was sacrificed for Story Flow.

Honestly these six pages went incredibly fast- the hours I put in compared to when I did one page per week average out to much less per page. Drawing in batches means I can put more effort where I need to in an entire sequence/scene, rather than every page getting more or less the same treatment. It made for some pretty art, but it was not quick to draw. When I used to do multiple updates in a week there was a lot more life in my pages in my opinion, which i ironed out when i ended up taking a full week per page and therefore putting a lot of work into every one, rather than parceling it out to those necessary moments. But, making comics (for me) is all about learning! And thats just another lesson that I'm happy to integrate going forward. See you soon!!!!
