[Poll] // Character Voices?

While I've been in the process of giving our girls dialog, I've been wondering if we'll ever hear these words. And by that, I mean voice acting.
It seems that there's a split opinion on voices in visual novels. Some people like hearing the characters, while others prefer to make up the voices in their head while reading the dialog. So my question to you is:
What's your opinion on voices for our game (and visual novels in general)?

Ahhh yes yes, I totally forgot we can just make it an option haha. It looks like most people prefer smaller sound bites, so we can make that available, and just have a mute as an option for people who prefer that :)

It seems like a lot of effort to include voice acting, when I'm not sure the effort would be appreciated all that much...I personally prefer Text, or at most just small noises, so we get an idea of it, but don't get it spoken out.

2019-06-27 17:45:27 +0000 UTCIf I were the one making the game and I added voices, I would make them disabled by default, that way the player can enable them whenever they want to hear what they actually sound like. Having them enabled by default seems weird because veterans of this game have made up the voices in their head. Hopefully you get what I mean. Other than that, short voice lines seems kinda good for now. Maybe later you could consult us on what we hear them as, just so that there's a better understanding.
