Clone Wars Episode 214 (042) *FULL LENGTH REACTION

Happy Friday everyone!

(As usual, NO spoilers about anything Mandalore related or if there's anything exciting about Mandalore that will happen in the future, whether that's in Clone Wars, Mandalorian or any other TV series)

Oh boy this was a frustrating episode!  The damn senate is useless and corrupt (obviously).  I shake my head at Obi-Wan sometimes because of his decisions, but in the end... he did something right.

I will say, I think Satine is a fantastic character.  The fact that she speaks out against the Senate and Palpatine is so refreshing.

I feel like this isn't the last we see of Satine, and I'm really looking forward to the next episodes with her!

For this style of reaction, you need your own copy to watch the episode.  Also know there is an extension that allows you to do Picture-in-Picture in case you are interested: https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/picture-in-picture-extens/hkgfoiooedgoejojocmhlaklaeopbecg?hl=en

New arc time!!! Pretty pumped for it (whatever it is 😁)

Clone Wars Episode 214 (042) *FULL LENGTH REACTION

Really great characters, and Clone Wars is really showing us just how "brainwashed" Obi-Wan (and the Jedi) are. It's so frustrating to see it, but it's also very real. It seems ridiculous that things could play out that way, but people are. manipulative and charismatic. It's admirable that Padme is always trying to do what's best for the people, sadly she is outmatched when people play dirty. Satine has been fantastic, and would be so neat to see her and Padme team up. Damn Obi-Wan being blinded by the corruption in the Republic!!

Obi is always trying to walk the line between the jedi order's rules and beliefs and what he thinks is right. That's one of the reasons one of his patented moves is the beard stroke. He's always thinking, but also fighting inside all these times we see him debating which way to go. Satine really shows how "brainwashed" he is at this point in the war that he can't even question the Republic. She's literally telling him they're trying to take over her world and he's like "well that's a good thing". It's always a good thing to have a strong woman who will call you out on your shit. Anakin has Padme, and Obi has Satine. It's a shame we didn't get much Padme and Satine together until this episode, you'd think Satine would be a great influence on Padme. Padme really has the same ideals and thoughts at heart, but like Obi she just believes the Republic is the best option until it's too late in Episode 3. They're both great characters though
