This is one of the first things I ever came up with for the Isle of Cuccagna. Early on I decided that the island would be full of Grackles - the common variety of the Eastern US not the great tailed variety Texans are familiar with - because their beautiful iridescence but angry eyes and bastard behavior fit the theme very well. I sometimes think I should've done starlings instead because of Shakespear, and the text here will reflect that.
