Clone Wars Movie (2008) (003) *FULL LENGTH REACTION

Hellloooo everyone!

No Spoilers PLEASE.  There are plenty of things that I assume will be explained throughout Clone Wars, so I ask that you please do not give me that information ahead of time.

It feels like this is just 3 episodes put together, but it's the Clone Wars movie!!  I was a bit confused with the timeline since the last Star Wars thing I watched was Rogue One, and in that one there are the Rebels/Alliance, whereas in the Clone Wars, that doesn't exist yet!

I'm actually really looking forward to knowing more about the clones!  It feels like they'll be pretty important and it'll be just that much more heartbreaking (possibly) in Episode 3 when they betray the Jedi.

Damn that Count Dooku, I dislike him more already.  I feel like I had a bit of sympathy for him in Episode 3 but that has been thrown out the window during this movie.

I feel like the people who grew up with the originals were just overall very angry at the prequels and anything released during that time until Rogue One, which is quite a shame for them :D I'm glad I'm seeing more of Count Dooku and that I'm seeing that my assumptions were very wrong. I'm not sure about the other animated series, but I was thinking of just waiting until I finish Clone Wars just to be safe :D

This movie was VERY disliked when it released in theatres (Before the Clone Wars show) in 2008. This was still around the time when the Prequals were pretty negative in the eyes of alot of Star Wars fans who just did not care for a movie focused around The prequal era. People hated that Anakin had a Padawan with many finding Ahsoka Tano to be annoying and out of place as she never appeared in the movies the list goes on. But people my age born in the 2000s loved the film as it was just our Star Wars just like how the original trilogy was the Star Wars to people born pre 1999. It then spawned the Clone Wars TV series so I'm grateful they were able to push back and show how amazing the series and this era could be but that mindset still remained in alot of people until alot of them finally gave in and watched the Clone Wars and really enjoyed it even if they disliked the prequals. I Personally really liked this movie as a 8 year old even though it's just three episodes put together. Watching it back now it doesn't hold up as well as Season 3 and beyond the Animation is very basic and the graphics can be pretty "unfinished" looking at times but truth me this is the lowest of the low when it comes to Clone Wars quality. Ahoska Tano started out very mixed some people loved her mostly the childs like myself at the time while the older viewers in their late teens to early adulthood found her to be a little annoying but herr development is amazing in the show and she grew to become the Luke Skywalker of our generation just one of the most well known and beloved characters to date. Count Dooku is much more of an interesting character in this show who felt very underused and underdeveloped in the movies. The series does an amazing job at putting the spotlight on all kinds of characters. Timeline: So yes this is right after Hidden Enemy where Slick the Clone traitor blows equipment at the Republic base with the episode ending on CIS forces landing on the planet leading to the Battle you see in the opening. The Clone Wars spans 22–19 BBY so 22 to 19 years before A New Hope and Rogue One. The Rebel Alliance was formed to counter the Empire so they don't exist yet until like 2 BBY just two years before A New Hope. Timeline for context: Tales of the Jedi (You can actually watch the first 4 episodes as they take place before The Clone Wars and provide context to The Phantom Menace and Attack of the Clones. The last two episodes Practice Makes Perfect and Resolve will spoil the ending of The Clone Wars so stay away from them if you decide to watch Tales of the Jedi before watching Clone Wars) Attack of the Clones - 22 BBY The Clone Wars - 22–19 BBY Revenge of the Sith - 19 BBY Bad Batch - 19 BBY (Spin off and Sequel to Clone Wars) Rebels 5 to 1 BBY (Focus on the Age of Rebellion era starting 5 years before A New Hope) Rogue One - 0 BBY (19 years after The Clone Wars ended) A New Hope - 0 BBY - 1 ABY (Where everything began)
