Remember, Mira hasn't interacted with Arim since before the sleepwalker arc. I'm not sure that Arim changed exactly, but she did stop pretending as much. She and Mira both pretended to be other people in a way.
Removing Mira from the story before was to make Arim and Evilyn change, and this is to make Mira change, even if it's also showing that she wasn't exactly what was expected. It's also to make Mira, Arim, and Evilyn's roles change.
Mira has to stop trying to do everything herself. Evilyn has to overcome her Mean Evie problem. Arim has to either hurt people or give up on the idea of having the same body as long as possible... or find some other compromise.
This is half-way through the chapter. By the end, it moves on to another day. There will probably be a single-chapter story to resolve somethings, then a 2ish chapter story about at least Pulse (and maybe Charlotte and Tabitha) actually being superheroes (and I'll have to design a super-villain for them even).
