I'd also like to add that the other Science;Adventure games are absolutely just as immaculate as Steins;Gate. Although Chaos;Head Noah, and it's sequal Chaos;Child are a very different vibe from Steins;Gate. I absolutely adore them and highly reccomend playing them. It also helps that all the science;Adventure game take place in the same universe. So much so that I can tell you there's a Chaos;Child refrence for the keen eyed viewers at the end of episode 6. And I'll say that if you want just a super quick look at Chaos;Head Noah. I'd reccomend the Opening they made for the PS3 version of the game Called "Chaos Logic" it has the luxury of avoiding any spoilers by simply throwing so much information at you all at once that you won't have a chance in hell to parse any of it (you'll see what I mean)

Thats why and thats why every worldline he ends up with Mayuri as a partner are the best worldlines ever.

Perhaps if he'd had Kurisu for longer it would be the same. Compare the time he had with each at this point. He's known Mayuri since childhood and they'd been inseparable since then.

You think Okabe is sad and depressed when Kurisu is dead? Well he is 10 times more sad and depressed when Mayuri is dead. Without Kurisu he can still go on with his life, without Mayuri he cant.

I know you guys don’t directly read these comments to stay away from spoilers but if a mod reads this I wanted to just explain a little bit about this episode/timeline based on what Ben said at the start. Basically at the end of Steins;Gate, we see Okabe delete the first d-mail and therefore shifting to the worldline where Kurisu dies. In that episode he hits the delete button just before Kurisu jumps into the room to tell him she loves him, but by that point it’s too late. The reason she was slightly too late bursting into the room is because of the text message she sends at the end of this episode. I’m the timeline that episode 8 takes place in, that text is never sent, Kurisu comes into the room and tells Okabe she loves him and because of that he can’t delete the message and he ends up stuck in the timeline where Mayuri dies instead (which is why Daru mentions it’s Okabe’s fault he couldn’t go through with the deletion and is so annoyed at him for what he said in the cafe.) I’m pretty sure you guys got that by the time the episode was through but I always love talking about this episode. As Ben said, I don’t think it was planned during the original Steins;Gate but adding that little bit extra to explain what happened I think really adds to the whole story. It’s also interesting that if you think about it Kurisu literally pushed the button herself. I mean I know Okabe pushes the delete button but he can’t bring himself to send the d-mail so Kurisu needs to do if for him.

I think they mean its like dating your niece, which it kinda does feel like.

Steins;Gate and Steins;Gate 0 were both originally visual novel games! And Suzuha is a romance option.

no

Suzuha isn't Okarin's niece, they're completely unrelated. Suzuha calls Okarin "Okarin-oji-san" with Oji-san meaning either uncle or old man. It's similar to how in english you can call people "bro", even if you're not related.

There's multiple Steins;Gate games. The first and original one is what the first Steins;Gate anime is based off of and its sequel Steins;Gate 0 are what the anime of the same name is based off of. The other games are mostly spinoff what-if stories on world lines not shown in the show. And yeah, they're Visual Novels. You can find all of them on Steam just by searching the name. https://store.steampowered.com/search/?term=steins%3Bgate

Sarkkoth

Definitely hits the feels.

After SG;0 if you guys ever play the Steins;Gate VN I would love if you guys recorded yourselves playing it!

So the Steins;Gate visual novel actually came first! It's a small part of a much larger series of visual novels knows as the Science;Adventure series. The anime adapts the "True" route of the original visual novel. Steins;Gate 0 also has its own visual novel that came out before the anime, but I won't say anything else about that because of potential spoilers.

Anyone else watch this twice in a row and can't stop crying?
