They tortured him enough, Satella the archbishops etc... Why would Subaru believe any word she is saying? She might be trying to manipulate him and he would have no proof that what she is saying wouldnt be lies. So of course he wouldnt want to ask anything and try to get away from her as fast as possible.

2023-10-18 16:45:56 +0000 UTCShould mention if it hasn't been mentioned before that this season is Arc 4. Arcs 1-3 were shorter, but it's kinda obvious that they are getting longer as they progress. There is a metric shit-ton of worldbuilding, backstories and insights in this arc. ...however, it would be remiss to think that all this information comes out easily or truthfully. Not going to say who or where or when, but keep in mind that some people are telling half-truths, some people are outright lying, and some people are playing games in order to get people to behave a certain way. But, as one of my favorite Star Trek series once stated, it's all true... especially the lies.

For a Witch that knows everything, she seems to nothing not that much, he says and then leaves. Sadly the anime cut it She only knows of stuff from her time, 400 years, stuff that happens in her graveyard, and stuff that she learned by looking through people's memories

2023-10-18 11:53:51 +0000 UTCAlso, anime had to cut some stuff, but in the LN it’s made clear that Echidna doesn’t have (or not much) knowledge about the present time, Subaru even saying that since Echidna doesn’t know about ‘things on the outside, there’s not really anything I want to ask’ I think here it’s very much implied that he wanted to ask about Rem, but knew it’d be for nothing.

And as much effort as they put into covering Arc 4, some stuff is left to the viewer to connect as they were limited in terms of runtime. Anime is still locked in the TV format over there and therefore produced that way. When you see episodes go beyond the normal 23 minutes, that means they are sacrificing advertising revenue by cutting down the length of the commercial break in favor of additional content. I'm looking forward to the 1h+ videos :)

But.... think about the context. Didn't he JUST lose Rem because RBD couldn't fix the issue? Is he really willing to risk it happen again, but with Emilia this time? Also, is Emilia really safe in the carriage? Subaru doesn't even know she is in the carriage. He got teleported, remember? So, can he really be sure she is safe? Its a damn big risk to stay there and risk losing Emilia. Thats why I totally understand him deciding to leave as soon as possible.

Arc 4 is longer than arc 1-4 combined so unortunatley the studio coulndnt cover all scenes with all their nuances youll notice in the second part of this season almost all episodes go to 29 minutes thats because white fox the studio bought the commercial blocks to fit in more anime conent! Whats also not shown in the anime is echidanas dreadful and dstructive aura you coulnt be sure that the things she wouldve told subaru wouldnt have been twisted to fullfill an objective of hers of some sort Also inosukes VA is Betelgeuse! Garf is bakugo indeed
