2022-02-10 05:33:24 +0000 UTCFor Erwin saying "We will find a clue that will end a century of Titan rule" I think part of it is that he's intentionally speaking in definite manner, like Pyxis did when addressing the soldiers at Trost. In his attempt to rally them to commit to the operation to seal the wall, he said "When this operation succeeds, humanity will have achieved its first victory against the Titans" So it seems it's a leadership tactic to instill hope and courage/confidence and commitment at the base level, but there of course can be more behind it.
