Weekly Sketch 5 + Zentreya Fanart WIP
Added 2025-07-28 03:20:09 +0000 UTCI feel like my introductions to these posts have been very repetitive,,, but that's alright because I truly hope everyone is keeping well!!
For this week's sketch I decided to draw someone from NEPS and I'm absolutely certain no one is surprised I picked Jane lmao. The reception to my last comic was so kind (thank you!!) and now I feel more confident in indulging my snake-thiren-hybrid headcanons within my art, even if it isn't necessarily canon. For this sketch I wanted to do something regarding a mouse/rat mask as well as her fangs but I couldn't resist trying to add a sense of sensuality and danger to her as well. I think those two things tend to cling to her regardless of how charismatic and caring she might be.
I also really love drawing her with fangs lmao you guys have no idea. (⸝⸝๑ ̫ ๑⸝⸝⸝)
I haven't forgotten about that Nicole and Belle piece everyone voted for, but as much as I love ZZZ I also really love vtubers. I won't get into all that happened within the vtuber side of the internet recently, since I'm sure not all of you keep up with such things, but I felt compelled to draw the creative people I really admire as my own little way of showing support. ( ´･･)ﾉ(._.`)
That being said, I'm working on a piece featuring the two models that the vtuber Zentreya uses! The upper half will be her dragon model and some kind of stage behind her. The lower half will be her cyber model with some kind of cyberpunk city behind her. It was very fun to try and play with the depth of field with those backgrounds, one angle looking up while the other looks down, I just hope it doesn't look disorientating or vertigo inducing. (・–・;)ゞ
I should finish that piece this upcoming week and then I can get to work on Belle/Nicole!! I've got a rough idea of what that will feature but I just have to figure out how to make sure that having sex on the beach doesn't result in sand getting everywhere. (ㅅ´ ˘ `)

The way she's peeking out from behind the mask with her fangies out is simultaneously so threatening yet cute...! Even if someone didn't go for the snake thiren headcanon, the mask is an obvious fit for our rat. If I can yap for a second: The mask fits, but I think it's less the obvious interpretation of Jane being two-faced or hiding her true self, and more her losing track of it herself. In other words a "you wear the mask long enough you forget who you are underneath" situation. Her past is clearly a tangled web of which we still have a poor understanding. I firmly believe she originally had a very different life where she learned her figure skating-like techniques before someone being sucked into the underworld. That's why her relationship with the proxy is so vital for her: Belle can see who she is, both on the surface and underneath, and accept every piece of it. Who she is and who she was, each facet she shows and those she can't, and most importantly who she has the potential to be. The proxy doesn't complete Jane; she frees her. No rush on the Belle Nicole (Belle Nicole Belle Nicole Belle Nicole) piece and happy to see you changing it up with your favorite vtubers! I never actively followed Zentreya but always thought she had some of the coolest models, I'm already sure that piecewill turn out great.
