Dangerous City
Added 2020-04-20 20:00:19 +0000 UTCPlenty of your time spent in RPG cities consists of walking from shop to shop, talking to quest givers, and inquiring at taverns. However, not all RPG cities are created equally, and some are constant gauntlets of deadly encounters. Maybe it's a city of thieves, or you're deep undercover in enemy territory, or perhaps you're the wanted criminals. In either case, whether you're duking it out in city streets or tensely navigating back alleys, you'll need music that simultaneously screams HUSTLE AND BUSTLE but also DANGER.
That's where "Streets of Iron and Blood" comes in. This track was inspired by a recent viewing of the Witcher Netflix series. It's full of ambiguously Eastern European sounds, out of tune plucks and scrapes, as well as some more traditionally cinematic ambiences, hit, and drops. It's really good! Maybe a bit too "every action movie" for some, but the moments that kick ass really do kick ass. In either case, my track adds in some of that pan-ethnic flair, some big bad drums, and all sorts of cool scales and crunchy tunings. Don't forget to thank patron Narolas for this suggestion!
