Automatic Installer for Sorcery v1.4+
Added 2022-08-19 15:39:01 +0000 UTCAs mentioned last week, I've been looking into and working on an Automatic Installer for Sorcery. Well, guess what??? We now have one for Sorcery v1.4 and later! This is massive news and opens the door to more features!
The best news, this installer works with all versions of Windows and automates all of the following:
- Automatic installation and uninstallation of Sorcery on All versions of Windows
- Installs to correct AppData directory (TFP mandated A20.6+)
- Easy, Hard, Apocalyptic choice on install (optional, default is Normal)
- Disables EAC
- Optimizes Graphics Settings for best performance
- Replaces vanilla Navezgane and all Pregen Maps with Sorcery versions! That's right, Sorcery v1.4 is compatible with Navezgane and all Pregens!
- Deletes old Mods/Sorcery folder to prevent errors
- Compatibility Patch handling (DF 1st)
- Restores vanilla Navezgane and Pregen Maps on Uninstall
- Backups made of important files (ex. Worlds)
- Easy Updates
This truly is an exciting game changer and, quite frankly, should've been done sooner!
Compatibility patches will be a simple 2MB download that handle all required changes, including renaming where needed.
Speaking of, Khaine of Darkness Falls has also been inspired to create an installer for DF... that's more good news for you DF folks!
Anyway, I had to share this with you guys and gals... it truly is a gamechanger for us.
