If you care, you can go with Spotify's recommendation of -2db ceiling if your song is above -8 LUFS overall.. (might be less lufs. I will edit if it's a lower lufs)
Personally I do not care that much. It depends on the reference. If the reference is stupid loud and has audible distortion I will ask the artist if he/she is ok with it. Match it if they want it, louder if they want it or go with something more sensible.
This afterlife artists song is being played back at -6.7db.. You can always A/B loudness corrected with the limiter doing more and less. Do this via loudness penalty. See which you like. If you like the louder one that's fine :).
As for true peak, once you go above 2db+ shittier dac's will distort
