Tracks not playing good on a club system

Well, it comes down to how does it reference? Always see a reference track as the song before or after your song on a set. How does it compare and contrast? Adjust accordingly

Now for specifically this case, either remix your music to fit "club bangers" or stay true to yourself. In between solution is a multiband dynamic that side chains so that you "auto club" your music.

Club systems tend to have a front of house guy (speak with him) or a set and forget limiter/multiband limiter. They work the same way any limiter would work so if you slam them too hard the track will distort and loose low end plus transients. If you do not even come near them nothing happens. The front of house guy may have also dynamically EQ'ed the room for build up.. but that is about it regarding sound going away. Non of that is the problem at hand though. The problem remains the source itself being more experimental vs club mixes.

Already done. solution was a bit of sidechaining, pro mb set up so that it expands the top when the kick hits and limiting. Now it slaps :)

A lot of it has to do with genre. Not every techno has to sound like drumcode to "bang"... Now, first I thought you were playing a "live" set, meaning you were probably launching stems on the fly and building your songs live. But then it sounds like you were just DJing your masters? In which case all you need to do is improve your mixes and mastering... no need to change the style of your music because it is that which is bringing in the gigs, right? And there's plenty of techno which is experimental and also completely bangs on live settings. But if you are doing the things live, you need a mastering chain because of course it will never sound like mastered tracks... That's why stimming made the instant mastering chain device, which is probably very expensive but if you are in the computer, you can add processing like Guido suggested at the end.

Good to hear man! Awesome you are getting gigs in. Definitely need to go heavy handed on the mixing front with this knowledgein mind. Would love to help out

So first question : Yeah I was able to go in when the club was empty, and I also went in the crowd while I was playing (I'm so worried of it sounding shit I went a few times to check out how it sounded [the booth was in the audience, sort of]) Secondly, those tracks are "club-edits" of my stuff, and I'm more than ready to go all in club heavy edits, mixing and adding productions because I'm getting more and more gigs for clubs (which I'm thrilled about). As days goes on, I can hear what's going on and why it didn't work. But thanks a LOT! Because it seems clear now. That expander/sidechain pro-MB could be useful on top of it all to add coherence between the tracks, so this is good advice too. I knew it was a good idea to ask you. You're the best, thank you so much.
