Quick lesson here. Do not let the side be louder than the mid. Always keep that in mind.

That fairchild track would definitely sound better in mono and it's a slapper so it works in a club.
Anyway, why so wide? Wide almost always sounds better to the guy mixing and in most cases it's fine to be out of phase with pads etc. It's when main elements or just almost everything is in the side channel that things just get a little weird. Especially when that side channel is just too loud. I do suggest you check the most succes full releases instead. Those translate to a majority of people emotionally and physically.

I think we got to very interesting place - the sound of labels. I've checked my fav 3 tracks from last 12 months for Anjunadeep
Fairchild, Nox Vahn - Open Your Eyes: https://youtu.be/eMES-gR8u8U
Dosem - Eternal Summer (Marsh remix): https://youtu.be/-e81VW1EScQ
Monkey Safari - Beach: https://youtu.be/A6NNFO-B0wY
Especially pads are insanely wide, in certain frequency areas side is louder than mid. Track by Fairchild sounds out of phase to me, but when I played it in a club, the crowd was really happy. Maybe because of so good musical side of this track haha.
The question is - why they are so wide, if their purpose is to be played in the clubs? And what they can get extra (except being more mono compatible) to be more in the mids?

Well it makes more sense now. Those are indeed very wide as well. If you take that as your golden standard you are fine. Maybe less top end to match it but no worries.
Try referencing the biggest releases on those labels as well for perspective

I forgot about referencing.

Both are hell wide, both are warm and a "vintage" sounding - something I wanted to achieve in my track.
I trust these artists (and their mixing / mastering engineers). So the question is - should I be more critical on their work in that case? Or am I missing something?
