Okay so, this was not my favorite episode. I was frustrated by a lot of stuff. And I really don't like feet. I did not enjoy watching Zoe spray a bunch of gross feet and look at them under a magnifying glass.
So, Zoe is upset that she's not getting any romance from Wade. (Which is the whole point of their arrangement. She wants to have it everywhere, but it doesn't work that way Zoe). And, it doesn't help, and Lavon is doing his best to woo Ruby and she's got to watch it.
Then, the whole high school football team comes down with athlete's foot. And this town LOVES high school football (you know, for this one episode). So, Zoey heads over to spray down the team. (Which she really only did because Brick forbid her from doing it). But, while there, she runs into Rose's newest crush, who seems very hung up on his ex. Zoe, while trying to subtly put in a good word for Rose, ends up with the kid crushing on her instead.
When she and Rose are at dinner the next night, he's enlisted practically the whole town to participant in a flash mob to ask Zoe out. And, of course, Rose is crushed. Zoe is stunned, but thankfully, he mostly goes away without an answer. But, now that he's 'got Zoe' he's playing football super well again and the town tells her to keep 'dating' him until after the big game. She hates this idea (As she should- he's 15 years old. But she also feels bad about stringing him along.) Eventually, she finally tells him the truth, but somehow makes it sound really good to him, so he can play football without her encouragement. And we win the game. Huzzah! And he ends up asking Rose to a party. So, double huzzah!
During all this, Lavon is trying to convince Ruby's grandfather to like him. But he continues to be angry and upset with him. After Lavon does a bunch of chores for him to get him to forgive him, he admits he's not made at Lavon. However, he is concerned about the fact that Ruby is staying in this town for him, when she could be dreaming and living much bigger.
And Lemon has decided to start a catering company. She excitedly tells Annabeth that they are doing it together, but Annabeth tells her that catering is a bad career choice right now. Lemon is disappointed, but tells her she'll find something else to do with her time. She then runs into George who is throwing a huge party, and Lemon offers her help. But, it turns out, he's already hired Annabeth because she's just started her own catering company. What are the odds? Obviously, Lemon is upset and tries to out polite Annabeth about it. Okay.
Later, George realizes the party is too much for Annabeth and asks Lemon to help her, but Annabeth doesn't want her help. However, George begs her. And she ends up conversing with Cricket through a headset in order to make sure everything gets done properly. Annabeth is not happy when she finds out and eventually Lemon leaves. But, the party was a success and George suggests they end up continuing the arrangement because they are both good at different strengths. They initially say no, but after a short time (like, an hour), they decide it's a good idea and they want to go into business together.
And, Wade finally puts some effort in with Zoe. He makes her the cookies that he finished in the beginning of the episode making her sad. They were awful, but like she told him, it was the thought that counted.
