The Vampire Diaries 5X14: No Exit

Fucking finally. It hasn't even been that long, but I am so ready for them to figure out how to get Elena back. My guess is they somehow trade curing Nadia's bite for Elena getting back in her body. How, I have no idea, but it seems feasible, right?

So Enzo and Damon are running around turning people into vampires so Damon will have something to eat (you know, other than Enzo). They are about to split and head to New York to sample the wide array of people there, when Wes and his merry band of Travelers show up. They put a spell on the house they are in so they can't leave. Meaning, eventually, Damon will have to eat Enzo.

Enzo tries to convince Damon to call Stefan or Elena for help, but he refuses to let them see him like this. So, he lets Enzo chain him up, so he doesn't eat him. However, as soon as he's chained, Enzo calls Stefan. But, he gets Katherine (she conned Stefan into getting into a hotel with her, you know, you saw). She tells Enzo to text her the address and they'll rush over. While Stefan is checking them out, she calls Nadia and tells her the plan. She's going to let Damon try to feed on her, which will force Stefan to kill Damon to save her.

When they get over there, Enzo has already split. Wes and the Travelers showed up and shot him. Then, Damon fed from him. But the bullet stuffed him full of some kind of acid, so Damon stopped eating. Wes gave Enzo a choice of doing one more thing for him and being free, or staying here and letting Damon kill him. He chose to leave.

Damon begs 'Elena' and Stefan to leave. He claims he has no control and if they come in, he'll kill them. Katherine wanders in and tempts fate by slicing her hand with some broken glass and holding it out to him. He begs her to stop, but she tells him she knows he won't drink because he loves her. Wrong. He latches onto her neck and will not let go. She begs him to stop, but he won't. So, she kicks a stake over to Stefan and indicates stabbing him with it. Instead, Stefan cuts his own arm and convinces Damon to feed off him instead. Once Damon lets go, Stefan snaps his neck. While he's unconscious, they haul him back to the cell in the basement of the boarding house.

Stefan claims that he's not giving up on Damon. But Damon tells him that Elena already has. He 100% notices that she tried to get Stefan to kill him. Stefan doesn't comment on it, but leaves him in there. However, when he leaves the cellar, he talks to Caroline and together, they figure out that perhaps, Elena is actually Katherine. Thank fucking god. Seriously. I'm so annoyed that they did not figure this out sooner.

And they figured it out because Nadia has been babysitting Matt waiting for the vervain to get out of his system so she could compel him (even though Katherine just wanted her to kill him). Once it's out, he decides to throw himself at her, and, while she's distracted, he tries to text Caroline. But all he gets out is, 'Help. K.' However, it's enough for Caroline to show up. But, Matt's already been compelled again, so he has no idea what's going on. Caroline attacks Nadia, but doesn't do very well, as Nadia is, like, 500 years old. But, Tyler shows up and attacks Nadia. Young hybrid beats old vampire. After a scuffle, she tosses him and splits.

At the cafe, at the end of the episode, Nadia reveals to Katherine that Tyler bit her. My guess is that they're going to try to trade a cure for the bite for an Elena/Katherine swap.
