The Vampire Diaries 5X10: Fifty Shades of Grayson

What the hell, Damon? I thought we'd moved passed your 'She's too good for me' phase. Let the girl decide if you're worthy of her or not. Seriously.

So, Damon manages to escape, and runs around looking for Elena. No one has seen her (since, you know, she's locked up in Wes's lab). He grabs Stefan and they head over to chat with Aaron, figuring he'd know where to find her. He claims he doesn't, so they make him call Wes and tell him they'll kill him if he doesn't turn over Elena. He agrees to meet them in a random classroom.

However, when we show up, it's not Wes, but Enzo, who is pissed that Damon left him to die all those years ago. Wes has sent him to kill Damon, but injected him with some poison so he's got to go back to the lab for the antidote later. Stefan calls Wes from Aaron's phone, but he refuses to come. Figuring if they kill Aaron, he kills Elena.

Enzo is busy trying to kill Damon. Damon, while not willing to die, is willing to let Enzo beat up on him a little bit. But Enzo quickly starts to succumb to the poison. Damon brings him to the lab and injects him with the antidote. Enzo wakes up, but Damon is not forgiven. He tells Damon he's a monster and will always be that way.

Meanwhile, Wes is busy experimenting on Elena. He's taken most of her blood and she's weak. They talk a bit about how her dad was the one who taught Wes how to do these experiments. And just as he's about to inject her with the stuff that makes her crave vampire blood, he leans close enough so she can head butt him and knock him out. Stefan shows up then and releases her.

Shortly after, Aaron finds Wes unconscious. He wakes him up and tells him their relationship is over. He's pissed at being used as a bargaining chip. Wes was willing to let him die. He does grab the syringe that he tried injecting into Elena on his way out, so that's a bit concerning.

Elsewhere, Katherine is busy trying not to die. It's not really working. However, Nadia suggests putting herself in someone else's body (she is a Traveler after all). At first she rejects this, but just as she's calling Nadia to tell her she changed her mind, she has, what I can only assume is a heart attack. She collapses and falls down the stairs. I know there are other vampires in that boarding house. Someone must have heard this. Plus, she's on the phone with Nadia, who can probably zoom over there as well.
