You guys, I think I actually quite enjoyed this episode! I can't believe it!
It took me awhile to figure out, but I think we've all switched around to Russell's POV. I assume it had to do with the Lilith blood we all drank and then got her approval from. But, Eric (who was visited by the ghost of Godric) seems to be the lone holdout over this insanity. The rest of the Authority is busy planning to kill and eat all the humans, Bill included. Eric is the only one who finds this insane.
They spend some time trying to figure out how they are going to destroy the humans. And, who has the winning idea? Bill. He suggests we bomb all the Tru Blood factories so the vampires have no other option but to feed on humans. I honestly cannot tell if he is serious about this, or if he is just trying to figure out the end game of the Authority so he can take them down from the inside. I'm leaning towards he's serious. If he wasn't, why would he have made such a perfect suggestion? Wouldn't he have went for something less lethal?
Jason convinces Sookie to keep her fairy powers as they are the only way they might find out which vampire killed their parents. They convince a bunch of fairies to do some energy ripple thing which allows Sookie to see the past from (supposedly) her mother's POV. But, it turns out, she only gets a little bit of her mom, and then she jumps into the body of the vampire that killed them. Claudette is shocked. This isn't supposed to happen. But it seems like Claudine knew who the vampire was. Were they friends? Has she been trying to protect him?
The crazy supernatural killers bring Hoyt to a cabin where they've got Jessica chained up in silver, ready for him to kill her. After a bunch of bullshit pep talks, they leave him alone to do it. But, Jessica convinces him not to kill her. He fires the gun while she hides. At the sound, the guy who is left to watch over him rushes in. As soon as he enters, Jessica kills him. She thanks Hoyt for helping her and he tells her to go fuck herself. I guess they're not getting back together anytime soon.
Speaking of supernaturals, somehow, Luna shifts into Sam. No idea how that actually happens, but she petrified to shift back because she assumes she'll die when she does. Eventually, she does, but she ends up puking her guts up. We don't get to see a resolution from that, but we know that when Tommy did it, it didn't end well. However, he did it a lot. And on purpose. Perhaps this is something different.
And I LOVE this relationship that Pam and Tara are building. It's my favorite part of the show right now.
