So, this episode was so much better than the previous one. That much I remember. But, I also watched it several days ago an don't remember as much as I should, so don't hold it against me if this description is shorter than usual.
Callie ends up deciding that she wants to go and see her sister. She talks to Jude about it first and even though he claims he's fine with it, he certainly didn't sound sure. Callie went out of her way to assure him that just because technically, they are step siblings, he'll always be her actual brother to her. It seemed like he needed that reassurance. (And probably more, seeing as he ended up stopping talking).
At her 'dad's' house, Callie meets Sophia, who seemed enamored with Callie. She doesn't seem to have much of a life. All she seems to do is schoolwork and she basically begs Callie to please get together with her again and do something fun. Shopping, horseback riding. Anything that isn't related to school.
While Callie is hanging out with Sophia, Stef talks to Robert who tells her that he wants to set up a college fund for Callie. I don't know. I'd feel like the money might come with too many strings.
But, seeing as Lena ended up not get the job as principal, they might end up needing that money. The hiring committee ended up going with someone corporate. Timothy assures Lena that the teachers all argued for her, but they lost. Initially, Lena thinks he sandbagged her, but later, she finds out that he ended up signing the donor agreement. However, Stef has decided that she thinks it might be a good idea for the baby to know it's father. We'll see how that turns out.
Meanwhile, Mariana finds out that she didn't make the team due to diversity quotas like she thought. She really made the team because he mom was gonna be principal and they figured if her daughter was on the dance team, she wouldn't cut their funding. So now her mom isn't going to be principal, and Mariana seems worried that she might get kicked off the team. Especially since she feels there are other dancers who are clearly better than her and her usefulness might not be so useful soon.
Wyatt and Callie are thinking about having sex, but Callie tells her her can't have sex on probation. There is zero chance that's a real thing, right? How would you ever enforce that? But, they do end up telling each other that they love each other. I wasn't all that keen on Wyatt earlier (but I was looking for Callie and Brandon to get together), but honestly, I quite enjoy him and Callie together now.
And, at the end of the episode, we find out that Jude has stopped speaking. I can only assume that it's because he's upset about Callie meeting her father and sister. But he won't talk to her about it. I wonder how long this will go on for. I can actually see it lasting several episodes, but I'm often wrong. Lol.
