The Fosters 1X12: House and Home

I was shocked when Stef gave that speech to the judge, and then followed it up with, we don't want her in the house right now. And I'm pretty sure Callie was a little bit too.

So, Callie ends up in a group home (with one of the girls she was in juvie with the first time who beat her up the day she left) after telling her PO that she'll go anywhere but back to the Fosters' house, but she really wants them to adopt Jude. There are maybe 8 or so girls, plus Cole. Most of them are addicts or much more serious offenders than Callie. After all, all she did was run away and steal and sandwich.

In the house, you can earn the privilege of visitors on the weekends and Callie is determined to get those privileges so Jude can come to see her. She's doing whatever she's supposed to and Jude is allowed to come. However, the night before, she and Cole get into a shoving match causing Cole to fall through a glass shower door. He seems fine, but it means that Callie's privileges get revoked and Jude can't come. But she and Jude are fairly devastated.

Meanwhile, back at the house, Brandon finally tells his moms why Callie ran away. It's because he kissed her. And they are not happy. Like, at all. (Unlike me, who was- probably wrongly- pretty happy when that happened). He tries to explain that he can't help who he likes, and that when they met he didn't think she was going to be staying with them permanently (which are both good points). But they tell him that they can't have Callie back until he gets over this. Brandon offers to go live with his dad (which I thought was a good compromise) but he's shot down immediately. Although, they had previously told him he could go live there, so I don't know what's changed. However, Brandon claims they are in love (which seems a little much- honey, you've kissed once) and he's not going to get over it.

Later, he overhears Stef talking to Jude about the group home Callie is in and on visiting day, shows up across the street. When Callie sees him out the window, she takes off and runs out to greet him. This hug does not really look romantic to me. This hug looks very familial to me. I'm not sure if it was supposed to read that way, but it did.

In other news, Mariana is doing costumes for the play with Kelsey and are both trying to impress the hot senior who's playing one of the roles. Mariana accidentally steals a hat, but when hot senior likes it, she takes responsibility for it. Also, Jesus sort of collapses after playing basketball, and we find out it's a side effect of his medication. His moms and Mike decide that maybe he can try CBT instead of meds and as part of that, tries out for the wrestling team.

I had to use this thumbnail because Callie and I are making very similar faces after poor Cole went through the shower. Lol.
