New Ask a Mortician- Hair Jewelry

A new videos, deathlings!  This is the first time I've ever released one on Sunday. It seems like it might be a more relaxed day to release. What do you think?

I've released 13 videos this year, which is WAY more output than I've ever had. Patreon is a huge part of that, allowing me to travel for interviews, pay my very deserving collaborators, etc.  I'm very grateful to you all.  xxCaitlin

New Ask a Mortician- Hair Jewelry

Comments

Really liked this exploration of Victorian Death fashion. It was SO much more than hair jewelry! I'm not a squeamish girl, but exhibits of very large, elaborate examples of Victorian hair jewelry have turned me a tad green in the past. It's well known that Tooth Fairies will give childrens' teeth back to their parents if they ask nicely, though it's polite to offer food or money. No Tooth Fairy I've encountered has ever turned down a beer.)

Wicked video. what is your view on the idea of making a family member into a diamond for this kind of jewelry? crazy idea to pass grandma down through the generations or add her descendants.

I used to work in an antiques gallery in NY, and have seen some incredibly intricate pieces made from hair- including necklaces, watch fobs, bracelets, etc. I have a few pieces in my personal collection and plan to have jewelry made from my mother's and sister's hair. I just need to convince them...
