Arrow 6X17: Brothers in Arms

What the hell is happening right now? What are we doing? Oliver and Dig have literally come to blows. This sort of felt like it came out of nowhere. But also, not really?

So, Dinah arrests Anatoly of her own accord since she knows that Hill is corrupt, and after the DA lets him loose on a technicality, Oliver realizes he is too. He call the both of them into his office and they but admit it. Diaz has something over Hill, and he's paying the DA for his kid's cancer treatment. Oliver agrees to take care of both issues, but they refuse so he fires them claiming they can't work for both him and Diaz.

Oliver and John finally have it out about the hood. Oliver tells him he's not giving it up and John is upset, but I don't think the conversation goes that badly. However, after Dig is sort of short with Oliver, so Oliver apologizes and tells him that he really planned to give it up, but once he put it back on, he just felt right, like it was a part of him. John accepts this and it seems like we're finished.

However, the next time they are in the field, Dig goes a little rogue and Oliver keeps telling him to pull back, but he refuses and presses harder for the info. This causes someone else at the scene to shoot the guy because she's loyal to Diaz and didn't want that guy to give out the information.

Back at the bunker, Oliver and John try to hash this out, but John claims that everything always has to be done Oliver's way. And they end up in a fight about Oliver's leadership and how John isn't sure he's trusts it anymore. He claims he always backed Oliver (this is so not true at all) but now he can't really do that anymore. They end up in a fight that gets personal, and Oliver ends up punching John. They really go at it. Flipping over tables, destroying monitors (how was Felicity not more upset about this), breaking through glass. Felicity shows up and stops them, but the damage is pretty much done.

They do have to go back into the field to destroy some Vertigo, though. But they agree to trust each other for the mission, which they manage to accomplish. (The Vertigo was how Diaz was funding paying off the entire city). But afterwards, John tells Oliver that he can't do this with him anymore and quits. What? We had NTA vs OTA. And now we have Olicity? Not that I don't love them, but I think we need more than that. We're barely keeping it together as it is. How are we going to do it with just Oliver?

Anyway, Hill and DA go on TV and say that Oliver fired them because they were prosecuting him for being the Green Arrow and that's grounds for impeachment. Fun. Turns out fake Laurel reading all those law books came in handy. Diaz shows up to congratulate her and brings her some Vertigo that wasn't destroyed.

Oh, and Curtis told hot cop that he was a vigilante after he told Curtis he hates vigilantes. But in the end, it all turn out okay, as all the non corrupt cops just got fired so vigilantism might be all we have now.
