So, Cayden James is busy destroying everything in the damn city that can be connected to the internet. Which, these days, is pretty much damn near everything. We've had massive casualties, and no idea how to stop him. Several episodes ago, Felicity uploaded a virus (without her consent, really) and it seems to be keeping her from being able to fix things.
Cayden ends up showing up at Oliver's office and claiming that he wants 10 million dollars a day delivered into a back account. All because Oliver apparently killed his son (which Oliver is certain he didn't do, because the day his son died Oliver wasn't in Star City, where he died) but he can't get together the proof to show him that he's innocent.
Thea and Lance set up safe spaces all over the city as a place where the citizens can go and be free from the internet, which means they'll be safe, but no one shows up. So Oliver goes on TV and tells everyone to go there making all the people in the city one, easy target.
Meanwhile, over at New Team Arrow, Curtis gets a message from his T spheres from Vigilante. Curtis meets with him and gives him info on Cayden James' next plan. Turns out, Vince is playing double agent and trying to take down James from the inside. Dinah is not happy when she hears where the intel came from.
Later, they figure out a pattern of destruction. Cayden is cutting the city off, by causing accidents at every street out. The only one left is the one William is currently on a bus in. So, Oliver and John head over to save him (and dozens of other people) which means, William knows that Oliver is the Green Arrow again. Thankfully, Felicity works him through it, and it ends up being fine.
Back at New Team Arrow, they get another message from Vince telling them that Cayden James is over after the safe space. They let Original Team Arrow in on the info and together (with Vince saving Rene's life) they manage to stop the immediate threat. But, Oliver still ends up needing to turn over the 10 million at the end of the episode, as he doesn't really have any other options.
I know this is so not important, but can we just let Oliver and Felicity have 10 damn minutes of romance, please? Seriously. They are newlyweds. Let them (and me, mostly me) enjoy it.
