Dude, a bunch of stuff kind of annoyed me about this episode, but even with that stuff, it was still so good! The big thing that annoyed me in this episode: the FBI is doing all this high tech tracking, but no one can find C Note standing outside his house, or think to check up on Michael's wife? There is zero chance that Bellick is smarter than Mahone.
But, fuck Michael and his brilliant fucking plans. So, the car really was everything they needed. I thought it was just about the bag, but not so much.
So, Michael takes the bleeding Lincoln to his wife's house (apologizing profusely, he knows this is not what she signed up for). He bandages him up as best he can and then heads back to get the car, which is gone. Turns out it was broken into and then towed. He finds the towing company at the same time that Mahone finds it and Michael ends up needing to steal the car back to get away.
But of course, Michael has a plan. He leaves a message on a voicemail account that enables the FBI to track him (which is what he wants). Once they park the car on a bridge, Michael pulls some animal meat and bones out of the trunk and rigs the car to go over the bridge. He's also set the car to explode shortly after, but it jammed and needs to be manually set, so Lincoln heads down to do it. Mahone and partner get there just after the car explodes and assumes they are dead. Now, Michael and Lincoln are assumed dead (at least until the lab reports get back, but they'll be long gone by then) and off Mahone's radar.
However, he yet again calls his wife and asks for a car, which she brings him. He tells her he'll send her $13,000 for her trouble. The problem is that fucking Bellick (who has hooked up with Geary to hunt down the convicts and get the reward money) was somehow smart enough to watch the wife, so he sees all of this. Grrrr.
Elsewhere, Sucre has called another one of his cousins in Brooklyn and finds out Maricruz is getting married in three days. Sucre tells him to get her to his apartment on Saturday and hangs up. Sucre steals a car and heads off. However, he gets pulled over in Pennsylvania and cop notices him and calls it in. But, Sucre seems to realize and manages to escape. He hops a freight train and manages to get himself to Brooklyn. Where he finds out that Maricruz is actually getting married in Vegas, so he needs to get there now. He 'borrows' the cousins motorcycle and speeds off again.
C Note is busy trying to get his wife to listen to him. She had no idea he was even in prison, so she's obviously confused when he breaks out. But he tells her to meet him in the Rainbow Room (which the FBI assumes is the restaurant in NYC). Later, he finds his daughter at school (and no one seems to notice him talking to her- where are you FBI?) and tells her to tell her mom to turn the porch light on at 7pm if he'll meet her there (it's actually the daughter's room). He's putting a lot of faith in his child to remember all that. But either way, she does turn the light on (which he seems because he's standing across the street). However, the FBI is also inside talking to his wife. Come on FBI. You SUCK at your job. He's literally outside the damn house!
And Tancredi is arrested. Her dad bails her out, but tells her to blame the escape on the warden who was giving special privileges to Michael. She refuses. But she does agree to go back to NA where Kellerman has shown up as a fake addict to keep an eye on her. Interesting.
