Fuck. How is this the last episode? I hate this. I need S3, like, today.
So, we start in 2015 with Stephen thanking Lucy for getting off in front of him. Max sees the text, freaks out (obviously) and that's pretty much it for them. As it should be. Lucy is so obsessed with Stephen that she 100% should not be in a relationship with anyone.
Anyway, back in 2008, Lucy wakes up after having sex with Stephen, that she immediately seems to regret. She kind of blows him off when he says he'll call her later. She tries to call Pippa and Bree, but neither of them answer, so she runs to Leo. After apologizing profusely, she says she loves him and wants to get back together. Girl. You just slept with Stephen, like an hour ago. What are you doing? But, Leo's back in and then they end up having sex. Leo. Run, honey. You were right the first time.
Later, at a party, Stephen is talking to Evan about how he and Lucy are getting back together, and then he sees her at with Leo. He's super confused. But can't help being Stephen about it and tells Leo that he and Lucy had sex earlier in the day making sure to tell him what underwear she was wearing. And Leo finally loses it. He beats Stephen to a pulp. And I mean a pulp. He's in bad, bad shape. Lucy is pissed at Leo and stays with Stephen. I mean, everyone sucks here.
Evan decides to tell Stephen about Lucy. Why, Evan? Why would you do this? Why do people keep telling Stephen things? He is the least trustworthy person in the world. Anyway, Stephen decides to record this information (without Evan's knowledge, obviously). Oh, and he also tells Evan he will not use it blow up his life- at least not today.
So while all of this is going on, Pippa manages to get Drew here to see Wrigley. And Wrigley is so, so happy. He and Drew talk out the issue and they both seem good. Great even. Until they're not. They celebrate their reunion a little too hard, and Drew ends up overdosing (apparently you can half time release pain killers?) and dies on Wrigley's couch. I was so sure that Drew was gonna end up killing himself. But I think this might be even worse for Wrigley. God. How to you live with yourself? I don't blame Wrigley, but I'm sure he blames himself.
And this is when Lucy starts to blame herself. She feels like if she hadn't written that letter, none of this would have happened, and decides to tell Wrigley the truth. But, before she can, Stephen jumps in and tells Wrigley he wrote the letter. And the display of anguish he puts on in astounding. I have no idea why he did this. I'm assuming because now Lucy will feel indebted to him? But either way, Wrigley forgives him.
We also get the truth about the Bree and Oliver situation. Turns out, they were sneaking around for no reason (well, I guess because it was part of the fantasy for Oliver). He and Marianne have an open marriage, and she totally knows that he's been sleeping with Bree. I still cannot tell if she's okay with it, as she's sort of leaning into being a villain about it. (Honestly, I think this is probably, I don't want to lose my husband so I let him do what he wants and pretends to be fine with it. Sort of like Pippa was doing with Wrigley back in S1). But regardless, Bree feels used (which she has every right to). There is nothing wrong with what's going on here, as long as everybody involved has all the facts- and Bree doesn't.
And then we end back into 2015, Bree is just getting ready to walk down the aisle when she gets a voicemail from Stephen, and it's Evan telling him how he slept with Lucy. Because of course it is.
Wait, wait. I forgot that I WAS FUCKING RIGHT ABOUT DIANA! She did 100% lie about everything to Stephen so she could break up with him. I love this for me. And for her.
Aaaah! Now I have to wait, like 3 years. I hate today TV. Remember when hiatuses were 3 months? And their were 22 episodes? And even with a 3 month hiatus, it was hard for me to come back. Lol.
