Oh, we're finally seeing the first stirrings of Pippa and Diana. Well, Pippa for sure, I'm not sure if Diana is there yet. But right now, I think she's just so angry at Stephen (and how could she not be).
Hmm, I'm curious how this affair that Bree is having with Oliver is going to affect her relationship with Lucy. Lucy is definitely forming a bond with Marianne. She's mentoring her, and helping her fix her GPA issue that Stephen inadvertently screwed up for her. I don't think Lucy is gonna be cool about Bree having an affair with her husband for much longer.
Speaking of the affair, Bree and Oliver head out of town for Halloween weekend. She ends up trying to talk to him about his wife and ex wife, which seems like odd behavior, but Bree is young and it's not like she used to affair etiquette. But, then, she tells Oliver that she told Lucy about them. He's not happy. He handles it okay-ish, though. He's upset, but I thought he was really gonna lose it. And she was gonna end up in a abusive relationship as well. (I mean, there's still time. Wait, that sounds like I'm rooting for that to happen. I 100% am not). Also, at the end of the weekend, he drops her off right at her dorm. In daylight where anyone could see them, and kisses her in the car. He doesn't have much of a let to stand on for keeping this a secret after that.
Back at the dorms, Lydia is here for the weekend and determined to call Stephen out on his behavior. Lucy begs her to leave it alone, but Lydia is determined. And she does so in front of Stephen sister, who is also here for the weekend. She's confused and Stephen lies again and tells her that Lucy is crazy, which Diana seems to reluctantly agree with. Later, she finds Lucy and calls her out. Lucy tells her the truth about Stephen in a bit of a harsh way, and Diana calls her out on it. There's a lot of emotions happing here.
Pippa and Wrigley end up ditching the party and going to hang out at his dorm. This is my favorite scene. I love that they are finally acting real, and Pippa is telling him the truth about their relationship. She was busy trying to be the easy going girlfriend and lied about basically everything. He seems to take it all pretty well. She ends up staying the night, but just in a companion way. I really hope they end up being friends again. Or getting back together, I could be fine with that too.
Stephen, who is pissed at Lucy for talking to his sister, leaves this long ass voicemail for her about how awful she is. Almost immediately after that, he runs into Lydia who he tells all the shit that Lucy had talked about her while they were together. When Lydia gets back, Lucy tries to defend herself, but it's not going that well.
After that fight, Lucy sends the voicemail that Stephen sent her to his sister, so she could hear how vile he is. Of course he walks in while she's playing it, and he sort of blames Lucy for making him lose his temper. His sister doesn't love what's happening, but she knows and loves Stephen and Lucy is basically a stranger, so it seems likely that she'll take his side.
This description is getting very long. Lol. So two other quick things that happened.
Stephen ended up getting a 174 on his LSAT. Diana claims she barely broke 150, which means she can't really apply to law school anywhere this year. I don't know if I believe her. I feel like this could be a ploy to get her out of this relationship with Stephen without it getting messy. He leaves for law school, and while they are apart for a year, they just sort of naturally drift. Maybe? But anyway, this puts a serious wrench in their plans.
Also, Chris, ended up drugging and raping one of Diana's sorority girls, and pretty much everyone knows about it. Lydia is pissed that neither Lucy or Pippa are jumping in to defend him. Neither are condemning him (Pippa just straight up leaves) and Lucy is trying to diplomatic, but she knows exactly what he did to Pippa.
I'm sure this is going to be hanging over Pippa's head now. If she'd said something before, this might not have happened to this girl. Or, she could just now be realizing that she really was raped and it wasn't her fault, like she thought before. Fuck. Pippa, love. I hope you get some peace after all this.
