So very sad. At least he went out a hero surrounded by friends.

Thank you very much for your reaction for another fantastic movie, my friend. Once again, I loved watching your reaction for it. Out of curiosity... will you be watching both of the Fantastic Beasts movies within the Harry Potter Universe as well, once you finish watching the final Harry Potter movie? Thank you! Sincerely, Heidi

I don’t send you the link cause it have spoilers. Several things explaining why she wasn't able to heal Dobby: Even though she had a general knowledge of various spells, she was not trained for healing - even in the books she mentions she never attempted to further her knowledge of healing wounds. Hermione knows how to use healing potions, but she isn't Madam Pomfrey. Hermione was definitely in shock, because she was tortured by Bellatrix several minutes ago - she needed help herself first. Dittany heals a lot of things, but a knife through the chest may not be one of them. Also as Hermione mentions, it may the injuries make even worse. Most important - she was not there while Dobby was dying at the beach, they went to house together with Ron (she is present just in the film) In the book Hermione stuffed the beaded bag in her sock to save it. In the film, the snatchers got the beaded bag. I hope that helps you understand a lot… #RIPDOBBY, can’t wait for the last one ❤️ apart from it I really liked this movie a lot cause it was dark and unsettling and that helped with the build up for the finale

That explains a lot. My 7 year old wants to read Harry Potter. I think we will read it together.

most wizards within the world are still sort of *average joes* in comparison to aurors (dark wizard hunters) it's implied that most wizards get through school with enough general expertise to get by, and maybe one specialized field but most aren't capable of producing good defensive or offensive spells against the dark arts. Defense against the dark arts class in hogwarts is probably more akin to like a martial arts or wrestling class in the real world. It may be fun to learn for a handful of people, and there may be a couple people super passionate about it like harry potter, but most treat it like a throw away class (plus hogwarts never had the best teachers teaching the class either) which is why Harry pretty much has to teach the students himself in book 5. So to most wizards, their wand is more of just an every day tool and not a weapon, and to some who have practiced defense spells with it, are probably more along the lines of an average civilian with a gun. sure they may have practiced with it a few times but are they really going to be able to be a hero in a life or death situation? probably not. and then there's the fact that the death eaters are all very powerful wizards and well versed in dark magic, which is also just more inherently deadly because it's not something that's taught in schools. So yeah the movies really gloss over a lot of the more intricate details of the world building, but hopefully that helps
