Okay, someone is gonna have to explain what is going on with Juice. So, Eli and Link have decided that they are gonna get Juice to take down SAMCRO via RICO because his dad is Black. What am I missing here? How does this connect to anything?
Anyway, Tig's fake friend (the one whose name I still don't know π) decided to play basketball for money with some kids. But then they decided to knock him down, steal his keys, and take off with the truck that had the guns in it. Obviously, SOA is losing their shit about it and start running all over town trying to find it and the kids. Eventually, they find the car, which leads them to the truck. I guess, no harm no foul here?
But, the important part of this episode (at least from my POV), is everyone trying to figure out how they are going to vote on the coke running. Most of the club is very against this. Clay ends up talking to Bobby about it and tells him that one he (Clay) retires, he wants the presidency to go to Bobby. (Even though he's already told Jax that he'll give it to Opie- personally, I think Bobby is a better choice, but the point is that he's lying to someone).
Opie, who was initially against this, tells Jax that he's behind him. And when Clay steps down, it will be the two of them at the head of the table making the decisions and things will go back to normal. Jax agrees but secretly, he knows he will not be at that table. But, it also makes me wonder if he might change his mind. This has been what he wanted. Maybe thinking about him and Opie being in charge will convince him to stay?
Gemma is still busy trying to find the letters from Maureen. But, Tara has the key on her this time, so she can't get into the drawer. When Tara shows up and finds her there, she totally lies about knowing about the letters. But, Gemma just acts like she's already read them (which she has) and tells her how bad it will be for everyone if Jax knows what's going on in those letters. I'm back to wondering if I should be concerned for Tara. I don't know. Gemma is obviously out for Gemma, and I don't think she'd like screwing over Tara, but I think she would if it benefited her. Plus, we've got Clay snooping around her trying to get info out of her as well.
And Clay is using his position of authority in this episode. Piney goes to Gemma to try to get her to talk to Clay about not running drugs. She's pissed when she finds out and confronts Clay, and he basically attacks her. (Remember last episode when Jax was all like, she's just an old lady, take care of her?- Seems like he's taking that to heart now). And then, later, he tells Piney that if he ever goes around him again, he'll slit his throat.
The vote ends up passing 6-5, but I feel pretty confident that even if it didn't pass, Clay would keep doing it anyway, just on the down low. It makes we wonder what other shit he's gonna start pulling this seaon.
