Arrow 5X20: Underneath

Come on, people? How much can you torture one girl? You're killing me, Arrow.

So, the explosion from Chase resulting in trapping the two of them in the cave. Literally. He welded the damn door shut, and booby trapped the elevator shaft. Oh, and paralyzed Felicity. And they are running out of air. I hate this mother fucker.

Thankfully, the team realizes that they are trapped pretty quickly. However, they don't have any good idea for getting them out and time is ticking away. Plus, whatever Oliver is doing is twice as difficult because he's literally got to carry Felicity around on his back. After trying some things, they manage to find a steam pipe and head down there. But, as soon has they get there (you know, away from the methane gas they've been breathing in), Oliver collapses.

Did I forget to mention he didn't listen to Felicity and fell down the booby trapped elevator shaft and onto a giant metal screw? Well he did, and now he's losing a bunch of blood.

So, Felicity is alone and desperately trying to rouse him. Eventually, he comes to on his own. And, around this time, Lyla shows up with Curtis' T balls that they stole, but reprogramed to make them better. They're able to get it down to Felicity and Oliver so we've at least got a camera on them. Oliver ends up passing out again, and Felicity ends up giving him adrenaline to revive him. 

Finally, Dig manages to get down there, and hauls the two of them out. Oliver immediately goes to surgery, and Curtis does something to get Felicity walking again.

While Oliver and Felicity thought they were going to die, he told her the 'truth' about what he learned when he was tortured by Chase. No surprise here, that Felicity doesn't buy it.

And we also get flashbacks of right after we killed Damian Darhk. Curtis had been trying to get Felicity and Oliver back together, so we get a bunch of flirty scenes. And then them having sex. But afterward, she says she still can't be with him because he doesn't trust her.

Later, at the hospital, she explains to him that she finally understands that not telling her about William wasn't about trust. And she apologizes. I don't think we're getting back together this season, but we've got some seeds!

At the very end of the episode, we see Chase has finally found William. I don't know how we're going to stop Chase, but I think we will. Or, it could go completely in the other direction, where Oliver and Felicity get back together, and then Chase kills William and Oliver loses his mind and disappears. Ahhh!
